Samples with identical file names OK in a set?

I am wondering if I should be concerned with having unique names for audiofiles/samples that I am using in my sets. So far it hasn't been a problem as I have had all unique names, but now I am dealing with a lot more samples and there is a good chance that some two different sound files will have th...

You need a momentary type midi switch. some controllers have these. or i think you can also do it with a midi note, if you can edit the note's off velocity to be 127.

Ability to sort samples by peak level?

Is there an app that can sort samples according to peak level? I was thinking something like Audiofinder would be able to do this but it can't (although it does show you the peak level in the waveform view, it is not in the metadata and cant be sorted) This would be especially useful for creating sa...

Setting up a Mid/Side Matrix for Reverb

I am trying to set up a mid side matrix in Live to use for widening a reverb. I am not sure I am doing it right. Anybody trying this? I seem to remember Mr. Henke mentioning something about this but a quick search did not result anything. I have 3 tracks set up as destinations-- Left, Middle and Rig...

Inconsistent MIDI processing in racks.

I don't know if this is a bug or not (noticed in 7.05 as well as 7.07)--has anyone else experienced inconsistent MIDI processing with the random plug when in a chain with other Random plugs (or other MIDI plugs) (randomness set to 100%, using alt mode) I have a 2 chains, each with a Random plug and ...

There are quite a number of presets. I don't mind dragging if necessary but if it's already been done it would be great to just download the presets.

Drum Machine Presets

Is there somewhere where you can download drum rack drum machine presets that are not GM mapped with empty pads between sounds (as they are by default), but rather 16 sounds per 16 pads?

BCR2000 recall sheet download here

hey I just made this 'recall' sheet. it's good for jotting down how you want to map out the controls on the BCR2000. Print it out and write down your assignments. Sorry it's a pretty lo-b graphics job on my part, but it gets the job done. http://hotimg14.fotki.com/a/64_131/208_60/BCR2000-Label-Templ...

Okay just solved it... Renamed one of them in Apple's Audio MIDI Setup, now Live hears both.

I also noticed that although both show up in the MIDI prefs setup, only one shows up in the track input menu.

Then again if you ever use your BCR in 14 bit mode you will discover that you have to turn the knob through 360 degrees about 170 times to go from one end of the scale to the other because the shaft encoders on the knobs seem to count only 96 steps per turn. Yep, this is a stupid default set by Beh...
