Losing View of Top Clips When Choosing Lower Clips

When I select a clip with a remote assignment that's more than 7 slots down, the window automatically scrolls down and I lose view of the top clips. Can this be changed? http://hotimg12.fotki.com/a/64_131/208_60/Picture-3.jpg ...i select a lower clip and the top row of clips goes out of view: http:/...

Yes, unfortunately this does not work. However I want them on the same channel (playing different notes/cc's) anyway so this would not be useful to me.

Using Two Trigger Fingers

Both are connected by USB. Problem is I cannot play both of them at the same time. I am not setting them up as automap control surfaces, just need both of them to send notes and cc's to Live. My first idea was to use the MIDI out on one of them and USB on the other; that would certainly work, howeve...

..actually I am getting some occasional clicks in the audio with thinning turned off (using operator). Perhaps it is a matter of adjusting the thinning aggressiveness? Has anyone tried messing with this parameter? well, I would reckon that thinningaggressiveness only affects the results if thinning...

okay a just did a small test, messing with the values of x and y in -MidiEventThinning=x -ThinningAggressiveness=y the tracks are labeled 'thinning x y' seems that y must be set to 0 otherwise MIDI data is thinned no matter what. No luck in adjusting the 'aggressiveness of the MIDI thinning though.....

Wow I did the Options.txt thing and it worked. Thank you!!! In the doc I typed:

-MidiEventThinning=0
-ThinningAggressiveness=0

Why this is not the default I don't really understand.

Time to look at some more Options.txt possibilities...

Recorded Automation Gets Smoothed, Loses Breakpoints

As soon as I stop recording in Arrangement view, This recorded automation: http://hotimg16.fotki.com/a/64_131/208_60/Picture-3301.jpg turns into this automation which has way less breakpoints: http://hotimg16.fotki.com/a/64_131/208_60/Picture-2.jpg Why does this happen and how do I keep my automatio...

What does it sound like when it's set to 50? I seem to remember that 50 means no swing, at least that's how it was in the MPCs i think.

Custom Key Commands Not Working

In Apple's System Prefs I have created a custom key command for Live, Command [ which is assigned to Deactivate Note(s) (the command for deactivating MIDI notes in the clip edit window). It used to work OK, a little glitchy sometimes but it worked. However now it doesn't work at all. I think this is...

Pitch Bend on the Trigger Finger With 2 Faders

My aim is to assign two sliders on the Trigger Finger to Pitch Bend. The first bends up, the second bends down. The first slider' default position (0) is all the way down so it can only bend up, the second's is all the way up so it can only bend down. So assuming that the 0 point is 64 I have assign...

Drum Racks Within Drum Racks

What is the purpose of this? How is it useful? And how do you trigger pads in the 'nested' drum rack? I set the 'receive' of one of the nested pads to the same note as the pad it is on and it doesn't trigger. Anybody know?
