Why no amp?

I have the suite. When I fire up the new version, the ableton welcome screen says it: Ableton Live Suite 8. Still, no amp in there?!?

Wass up?

hassle update

Is it just me, or is it always a hassle to update ableton. I'm on osx 10.6, and every time a new version comes out, i end up with different installations and libraries thrown about my hard drive. What am i doing wrong? Can someone write down a step by step list on how to update Live in a tidy fashio...

Re: A few questions before buying a friend's macbook

It's an awesome machine for sure, buy it, but be prepared for a long and frustrating transition. There is no way around it; it WILL drive you crazy for some time. Both systems have their strengths and weeknesses.

Re: question about clip volumes

Maybe my question is not clear.

I just want to know why it loads samples with the -12db setting, and how do i make the sliced to midi files match the original in volume….I already tried raising the indiv. volumes to 0db, but that is way too much...

question about clip volumes

When you have an audio loop, and you split it to a midi clip, it automatically chops the parts and throws them onto a drum rack with individual simplers. The thing is, i've noticed that the new samples all are loaded with a -12db setting. The questions are: Why? and What level do i nee to change tho...

creative techno guitar efx chain

Need some help and inspiration. We have a gig in a couple of days, and I want to bust out my little fender. Problem is, every time I plug in my guitar, the twangy, jamm-y, rock n roll sound just clashes uncomfortably with our techy style of music. I need some fun creative effect rack ideas that can ...

Re: New Tune - Minimal Techno

I like it.
Stripped down minimal. It's good. I actually like the repetitive bassline, and the sound. Love the noise air torch. Sick, really.
I'd watch the high hats…maybe they are a tad loud…maybe.

Props. reminds me of some 'Closer to the edit' by Richie Hawtin; a timeless album…

Cheers,
B
