Turn them off according to this site's reccomendation. If nothing you care about is affected, leave them off.

Good luck,

I had never thought of using a game controller with live. This is a great idea.
Check out USB Overdrive:
You Mac guys get all the good stuff

I will do some research on good (programmable) controllers for the pc, and post any worthy results. Suggestions, anyone?

Websites fine now, I guess it was swamped by Ableton forum users.
I'm grabbing one of the DM2's @ 22.95.

Thanks, TG.

It seems the website for DM2 to MIDI is down. I hope it comes back, as I think it would be fun to use the DM2 as a controller.

:?: dirtystudios (or anyone): jaguar can suck it long and hard though, os 9 4-ever! I want to get an ibook 800 (my first mac); I thought that the new ones would not even run anything but OS X. I got the impression that the capacity to run older versions of the OS was disabled or something in hardwar...

You can also open an existing set/song that you wish to add to your LONG arrangement. Then if you start at the top left corner of the first track in the arranger view, left click the mouse and drag to the bottom right corner of the last track, the entire song should be selected (use the click and d...

Quandry for Quandry?

I think you could just drop all of the appropriate clips in the approriate places in the arranger view to create a LONG arrangement. This would require a bit of work depending on how many tracks/clips you're dealing with, so it may not be applicable. You can also open an existing set/song that you ...

To be clear, I can edit the same file from within sblive as soon as I shutdown Live, which leads me to think that Live is not releasing the hardware. Soundforge only uses a "Wave device", not ASIO... maybe it is Terratec I should be asking not you all; still, any help much appreciated.

Live/Soundforge 5/Terratec dmx 6 problem

I would like to use Soundforge 5 to edit samples, but it seems that live is not releasing the hardware. I would have expected a setting to "release hardware while in background" or something similar; does Live do this automatically when you select an external editor? It may be a problem with my hard...

Thanks Alex -

I had the gain turned up on my input, which caused the problem. I thought it had to do with the routing, but it everything is O.K. now.

BTW, I'm having great fun with Live

I sure wish it was ram-based, and I know people who would buy it if it was ram-based instead of disk.

I posted about using a ramdisk in XP before I noticed this thread. Have you tried this?

ramdisk with windows xp?

Hello everyone:

I've used ramdisks on Macs, some time ago now, but I'm wondering if one can use a ramdisk in the same way with Live; there are some freeware ramdisk programs available.

Has anyone tried this? A search of the archives here yielded no result.

Cheers,

e.
