I have a couple of different roland space echoes...they are definitely delays. Some of them have a reverb unit in them too. Tape echo is one of those things the current digital emulations don't seem to get close imho...everything else analog seems to be really closely emulated but tape is hard.... I...

this sucks...turns drums to mush

Went back to live 7 today - it doesn't have this issue. And it seems to run heaps faster....

if I could post the images from my test I would...

fades are off in prefs.

Fades are reset on clips.

tw1nstates-check your files closely. try the test - its really noticeable.

I was was wondering why the first kick drum of each bar sounded different....Im glad im not going crazy - the Abe's need to fix this...!

Hi Ive suspected this for a while but Ive just done a test and made certain - lives consolidate feature adds a fade to audio files. Auto fades are off in the prefs. Warping is off. I totally agree. Multiple midi channels need to be able to be viewed together, superimposed... it works great in cubase and other DAWs.

The faderfoxes are very tempting...not cheap, but they look specifically designed for this purpose.

Kontakt does this quite nicely - when you release a key, it triggers another sample...
