Hi John I would definitely agree with the others. I'm using the x-session and the MK461C as my midi controllers within Live. I use the x-session in djsets but also when prducing my own tracks. The midi assign feature in live works a treat. To be honest, for the price of the x-session you cant go wro...

Cheers for that Jeskola, will try to make it down there. I saw James Holden play the Border Community vs Breakitdown night before xmas and had a really wicked night, so this should be something worth marking on the callender. Is he one of the artists you have collaborated with ? good luck with prepe...

I quite like it round here but then I come for the forum really. More tutorials would be nice as the ones up there already have really helped me. Maybe some of the more advanced users on the board could help with that. I am always interested in seeing different perspectives on Live use. I like the f...

Realm mate you beat me to the punch! Was just about to post the same link... (incidentally I really enjoyed the mix you posted, good work :D ) I would certainly recommend the Ravens Spiral guide really well laid out in plain simple english and gives you a good grounding. Learning music theory will c...

Cheers Moonburnt Tried something similar in Cool Edit called "clip restoration" which works on the same prinicples. You specify an overhead threshold, and it tries to re-create the peaks that have been squared off. Its not exactly perfect but I think if I spend some with it I'll be able to get some ...

You are absolutely right there Hardtoe, I am out of order but didnt mean to be. I seriously didnt mean to cause offence to you or anyone else out ...

Repairing A Clipped Track

Hi All Was roaming around an old pc of mine and found a mysterious folder with some rare vinyl recordings I made a few years back. These tracks are superb and are part of a box of records that got stolen from a while ago and as such are pretty much irreplacable. Not sure what I was smoking when I re...

I see your logic now - good thinking on the use of the cheese ones as ableton power fodder! I guess I had hoped that you could stop your live set to enjoy a few bites of pizza without it crashing! Calzones would work I reckon but soup probably wouldnt as it always seems to explode all over the insid...

lets have a vote for no more qubblin over crappy OS's and get ableton to make a hybrid one that runs on a microwave , powered by the burning of a chicago town pizza (vegitarian one) - , seriously!!! quality! Now theres a vision of the future, although it would have to be a pepperoni chicago town. T...

Lots of people spittin venom over sasha but lets put things into perspective. Disliking his style of music is one thing but slating a guy for being popular is just what Americans might call "player hating". What have you done for dance music that can even compare to what he has ? You make a few mixe...
