I guess you haven't got much into racks then or tried the inline rack mixer? Nope. Haven't had the time to get into the drum racks in any way deeper than setting up kits for a trigger finger. I've been getting a lot of mileage creating instrument and effect racks since they were introduced and I fe...

I suspect it could have something to do with piracy but don't quote me on that. Seems in keeping with certain aspects of human nature that if people can get all the music they want for free that they would then tend to gravitate toward the one aspect of the art that you can't get for free. Maybe fro...

I was just thinking about Max' 5 presentation mode where you just build yourself a neat custom interface for complex matters.. Now if you look at the racks we all agree that those 8 macros are a laugh.. And adding 16, 32, 128, 512 more macros ain't going to help I'm afraid.. it even makes it worse ...

I would be interested to see any patches some of the gurus have made to interact with Live. I have just been working in Max for about a year and a half and I'm starting to work on ways I can use Max to fill in the holes where Live (or any sequencer for that matter) comes up short with regard to real...

Quartz composer even takes OSC. Wow? Really cool to know, I assumed it was geared towards rendering rather than performance, and never really looked into it. I'd wait for that book on Max. Pluggo has yet to surface, there probably will be some big changes there. And the way you can access documenta...

You could also save another $200 and spring for the MOTU 828mkIII. It would solve your problem with the reverb since it has DSP. It's not a half-rack unit but oh well.

Cycling '74 have made clear that Max 5 is NOT the result of the partnership but that we will see the fruits of it at a later date. I'm thinking some kind of interface between Max and Live that enables one to audition the Presentation Mode of a patch they're working on in Max inside Live as if it is ...

That's really encouraging. Works a little slower than an asteroid, but with persistence it just might work.
