Re: FREEZE - would be good if this saved RAM as well as CPU....

freeze then flatten
that unloads the vst's
can't unflatten it like freeze
but if you save a previous version of the track you can always drag the vst channel back into your track to make some alterations if you need to

Re: Whats the best way to export high quality once im done?

i choose to export 24 bit wav
no dither
an mp3 is not the highest possible quality

Re: Operator deep sub bass constant....

use an instrument rack
use 2 instances of operator
1 with the sub in
and the other with the synth sound
now you can have your low sub and synth sound playing together from the same key hit

Re: First live set - epic fail. What went wrong?

i always use a mini mixer between my laptop/soundcard and the clubs mixer line in
the audio from ableton/laptop always needs boosting
using a mini mixer is the easiest way to boost the signal to the same level as the decks if there is no more gain available on the clubs mixing system

Re: is there a way to permanently change the key of a mp3?

you'd probably be better to use tracks that are in key with each other already
using ableton to change the key of a full track is pretty much useless soundwise

resampling should be ok, but like the other guy said, do your live set at home and resample it to see if there are any issues

Re: recording nonspecific lengths (midi clips)

just set live playing, click on an empty clip, start playin your keyboard
live will start recording a new clip and wont stop till you hit stop
no need to set clip length
set your loop locators round whichever of your takes was the best one
