LTD sc-607b and Line 6 POD xt. I somehow got stuck with ESP guitars as they feel most natural to me. Absolutely love my Kirk Hammet signature Flying V from ESP that I bought more than ten years ago, but the tremolo gets in the way when I tune it differently, so I went for a 7-string.

I nearly went for the 24"er myself, but last years model seemd to be plagued with a chirping noise and other problems. The forums showed threads with people complaining on 50 pages. My 20" display doesn't have a perfectly even backlighting, but it's still heaven compared to my iBooks porthole and I ...

I've got its predecessor, the 2005FPW I think, with 4 video inputs and USB hub, and it's really good value, cost me about 500 EUR back then.

don't you just love it! While windows has got the manly blue screen of death, Apple even themed crashes with a feminine purple that suites your white MacBook! :D I just wish they had put some ponies on it ...
Anyway, null* award of the week goes to sqook, congrats!

<snip> - yes, there are closed samplers (romplers), but they will work in multiple hosts.. so no, not the same argument.. - you can't compare software with samples.. apples and oranges.. when plugins become 'obsolete' due to OS updates, the plugin will be updated as well.. Samples will never be obs...

I started to make music reason as well; I love it.. but at a certain moment I reached ceiling with it and switched to Live.. So I have these refills, and I don't want to use them i...

Re: Reason drum kits in Live?

Can anyone maybe recommend me some good drum sample disks to look at? And also some plug-in drum solutions other than Battery? I have been told that the Luxonix drum sampler thingy is good, but i don't know of many others. Take a look at Toontracks Drumkit From Hell (comes in AKAI, EXS, Giga flavor...

forge, how do you use Comp 2 and how do you perceive its character? I was pretty baffled when I sat down with a Logic using friend a few weeks ago. He's got lots more production experience than I have, so we put both comps on a drum loop, used same basic values on Comp1 & 2, disabled any specialties...

how about checking the usual suspects http://www.macrumors.com http://www.thinksecret.com http://www.appleinsider.com and collecting some info on Core Duo 2 aka Conroe/Woodcrest/Merom and possible mobo configurations? I'm pretty sure you'll find lots of info at slashdot, the register and toms hardwa...

iirc, cpu clock is locked at 1GHz if the battery is removed, dunno where I read that, might 've been discussions.apple.com. I don't know what kind of reasoning is behind that, it sure doesn't make sense to me. Can you maybe check with CoreDuoTemp or what its called?

ps2 is worth getting it for God Of War alone, GoW 2 for ps2 is due in early 2007.
Apart from that ... Wii is looking more interesting each day.
[edit]
two more games that have burnt my retinas far too much, kid friendly as well:
Bust A Move (ps1?)
Zuma (Mac/PC)
