sounds cool up to the part around 9:00 +/- where harmonies and drums are way off. Not sure if all that was intended. Maybe they were just too lazy too use different bpm settings per track :P

Dan, I think what you really wanted to say is: put the burden of redrawing the UI on the graphics card and NOT the CPU. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need pixel shaders for that :) Nice idea, but I'm not sure how much we would gain compared to the additional work required and potential gfx driver pro...

fino, go to a store and try it yourself. They seem to operate within spec, but I've decided for myself that I'd prefer a cooler laptop and will wait for the next generation. Makes me wonder how the CPUs in MacBooks/iBook successors will cope within a smaller enclosure :/ Oh, and don't forget the CPU...

WTF? Manufacturers struggling with complexities of modern computer systems is one thing, but being too dumb to apply thermal paste correctly looks pretty ... moronic? I've had my share of trouble with a first gen iMac G5, I'm really glad I could control my wallet to sit this first generation out. Ke...

[OT] Amsterdam, Apr. 14th-17th, any good clubs or events?

hi there,
I'll be spending the weekend in Amsterdam (April 14th-17th). Can anybody recommend good clubs or events that are worth visiting? Rock or electronic stuff preferred, but it doesn't matter really. Anything that crosses your mind will do :)
Thanks and sorry for the OT.

meantown, years ago, one of my colleagues tried some of the delay plugins that came with pluggo (http://www.cycling74.com) and noted that one of them would interpolate the data and NOT produce pops and clicks when changing the delay time. Haven't tried them myself though. Keep us informed if you fin...

It's really a shame that Motorola/Freescale will stop development of Codewarrior for Mac. It would be interesting to know if they knew of Apples Intel transition in advance, before they sold of their x86 compiler technology to Nokia.
Anyways, hooray for Reason!

PDC doesn't work correctly with Rewire .... adding VSTs/AUs to anything but the master track will throw rewired progs out of sync if PDC is on and a plug needs compensation. I really hope they'll make the whole rewire integration a lot more elegant, theres a few requests over in the other forum. Hel...

I've asked this before and didn't get an answer, but iirc I read in another thread that the sound engine would run in the same address space/thread/process as the Live engine. Which would also explain why Live uses more RAM if you load large Presets in a Sampler running in Reason and why only Live d...
