Recording MIDI to Audio

Is there a way to set a limit on the number of measures to be recorded in Live? For example, if I am recording a MIDI track that is three measures long, and I want to record four measures of audio in order to capture the delay and reverb tail, how would I do that? I find that just pushing the stop b...

Its a fucking sick world when people that should know better waste ones vote for either of these two party's. (correction the one whole prick party posing as two differing pricks) What even makes it worse is that said people would like to cast their vote in another direction yet they choose to sit ...

i use external instruments and point each of them to the channel that has VC on it, just on a different midi/audio return channel. So each MIDI track has an external instrument on it whose MIDI To box references the track containing the VirusControl VST, and I don't use the MIDI To box in the track...

VirusControl or External Instrument

I just got a Virus TI and have been learning how to use it with Live 7. The VirusControl plugin seems nice, but it seems that all of the audio comes back to the master track. This makes it rather difficult to process each voice individually. So, I started thinking that maybe the External Instrument ...

What exactly do Bank and Sub-Bank do?

I have been experimenting with the Bank, Sub-Bank, and Program boxes in the Clip View Notes Box, and they do not seem to work as I expect them to. I am connected to my Roland RD-700sx via the External Instrument device. The Roland expects a Bank Select MSB (control #0), a Bank Select LSB (control #3...

Kore Drums and Live

Is there a straightforward way to load a Kore drum kit into a Live drum rack, where each sound in the Kore kit is assigned to a different pad?

Kore Plugin

I downloaded the free Kore plugin to try out the bass sounds in Live 7. However, all I get from it is bad distortion. I tried changing the plugin buffer size, but it did not make a difference. Lowering the sample rate didn't seem to help, either. Freezing the track allowed it to play clean, but it i...

Metranome Doesn't Work...

I upgraded to Live 7, and the metranome no longer works. I enable the button on the tool bar, but I don't hear the clicking sound when I play or record. Any suggestions? Thanks!

All I see in the preferences/audio tab are the analog inputs 1&2 and 3&4. I don't see anything releated to S/PDIF there. The card is an M-Audio Audiophile 192. If I go into the M-Audio hardware configuration utility, I see that there is input coming in on the S/PDIF channel, and it is locked onto th...
