Is there any way of preventing this behaviour: When I open the set straight from the .als (without Live being already running) the set opens and displays my lesson momentarily but t...

turns out it was because they were empty. All the instructions on this for Live 5 work for me in Live7 except inserting links into lessons. The link shows as a link (underlined etc) but doesn't do anything when clicked. I've updated the linkage in the top post and included a copy of the page content...

Nice!
(Although for me it moves the start marker - also very useful)
Add the shift to get the end marker :)

is there a shortcut for turning on/off master quantization? i.e. for midi clips, when recording midi data. it'd be nice to flip it on or off with a midi note or keyboard shortcut for some situations. You mean record quantization or global quantization? The shortcut to turn of the latter is ctrl+0 (...

How to make lessons in Live 7?

I've tried this method from the old teragon wiki in web archive http://web.archive.org/web/20080117062830/www.teragon.org/wiki/index.php?title=Keeping_note%27s_on_your_sets_by_adding_your_own_lessons_(live_5) but after following the instructions I tried opening the set and it causes Live to crash. you copy a section, if you do certain actions before pasting, like pressing stop to go back to zero , or click on a marker to go at a specific position, there's no pasting, it's gone from the RAM.

and the ever popular Midi Overdub doesn't work
Anyone else getting these issues?

for visual feedback just activate the remote control midi out in the prferences and the buttons you've mapped on your bcr will react just like the buttons on the gui when you switch them on or off. works fine for me. Actually yeah I was just coming here to write almost that. When sending CCs from a...

Thanks Longjohns. I think the co-incidental thing might be my best option for the EQ3's kill switches coz at least at a gig I won't be offsetting them with mouse. I guess for the EQ3 kill switches I can stick with the 'co-incidental' method as I won't be using a mouse at gigs. However, for clip loop...

So... is this definitely related to the soundcard?
even if so, my friend has a MacBook - either current edition or previous I'm not sure - so I guess there shouldn't be the same problem
