Re: OT: So tell me... was I a little over the top?
He got drunk and threw up ffs he didn't kill any one...... :? It doesn't matter, the analogy stands. Getting slapped a couple of times isn't as harsh a punishment as going to jail for a couple decades for drunken-ass vehicular manslaughter, either...it is proportional. Personally, fwiw, I most like...

Re: OT: So tell me... was I a little over the top?
It seems to me that the "but he was drunk...he didn't know what he was doing" argument is one of the oldest, truly piss-poor, illogical rhetorical arguments in the book. People have been trying to make excuses for morons for not just centuries, but literally millennia with this one. Read yer Greeks ...

Re: u-He Bazille
Yeah, the contest is cool this time too...single oscillator simplicity. That's one of my missions for this upcoming week. The first contest was cool too, but I didn't figure I had much of a chance going up against some of those guys on the KVR forum going all out with the MSEGs and x-y controllers a...

Yeah, I'm a little worried about my wife, she's so frugal I dunno if living there is even going to be fun if we do it.
Personally, I intend to fully take advantage of such a place.
I looked at that Alembic place, looks interesting. You removed the link?

I agree, the dirt is impressive as hell for a softsynth...the filters in particular are absolutely luscious...they make that analoguey growl when you find the res/cutoff/gain sweet spot. I wish I could swap these filters into zebra. :) I also dig that unstable sound when you're turning the fractal r...

Jesus wow, love it every bit as much as I was expecting to, but I can see I'm going to need more computer, stat. You certainly don't wanna try to play a complex patch poly, or turn up the release to where notes overlap much...recipe for instant 110% processor bomb.

Well, I did see those and try patching out of them, but still I'm not intelligent enough to get anything to happen. Maybe I'm not going to the right ins.

Re: u-He Bazille
Why am I too stupid to get LFOs routed to anything? There are no out jacks on them. I suppose I'll figure it out if I give it enough hours.

Re: Bay area people, help meh
Actually the inflation has gotten pretty bad around here. Its $399.00 for a Happy Meal now. Its so hard to get good help that they just moved the decimal and called it a day. Just wait'll there's $200 oil...I can hardly wait. The problem is, even when money is only good for kindling, we won't have ...

I f-ing hate Ritual Roasters, I'd love to take a cluster of hand grenades and toss them in there. it's a hive of fixie riding mac using hipsters, really annoying scene. wicked strong coffee though (used to live near there), you just have to wade through hell to get to the counter. Yeah, we went in ...

Re: Bay area people, help meh
what's the other? I'm impressed you know about the Blue Bottle. I quit coffee but the smells are intense even a block away. The other is Ritual in the Mission district. They're actually much more hardcore than the Blue Bottle, which I found to be potentially delicious, but inconsistent depending on...

Re: Bay area people, help meh
So yes, we're all booked up, and I even got a quaint hotel in Hayes Valley, which is great because one of the only two good coffee shops in town is there, and I won't have to go out of my way to go there like I did last time. Must have good coffee. I have a couple other quick questions for Tone or a...

Yeah, I tried looking through some calendars and such today, but I got a southwest airlines $94 deal and just booked the shit. We'll be there Sept. 5-14.
