i like the fabfilter eq because of the handling, gui and integrated analyzer.

to add hi silver shimmering on vocals or overheads i use the 1973 eq from stillwell.

you can spend thousands of dollars for good orchestral libraries... but they only sound good if you are used to arrange for orchestra and know about the articulations and ranges of the instruments. just pressing keys and everything sounds like a real orchestra doesn´t work. good simple allrounder to...

dropbox is good
wetransfer can load up to 2 gb in one go

and skype is good. see and talk to the person you want to collaborate with... nothing is more effective!

melodyne is able to recognize audio and translate to midi.
the "editor" version can do that polyphonic too (and as far as i know it's the only one).
great tool! mainly for correcting detuned stuff but it's also very good for analyzing.

To start lets define Warmth: Warm comes from electronics and synths that have tubes in them. - wasting time/money with new gear/software instead of using the things i already have
- start recording something without a starting idea
- start too many projects at the same time

Live offer's more precise composition than cubase its a matter of understanding how to you use it. yepp, nice joke :mrgreen: - you can´t even compare two tracks by opening two editors - you can´t even transpose a complete song when a singer is in the studio to find the right key for his/her perform...

you just can do more things with logic. for me the midi-features are the reason not to change away from logic for composing... lives piano roll is the only midi editor. in logic there are about five other interactive acting midi editors and a bunch of 'on the fly' midi values to work with like trans...
