i would much rather buy a vst which is constantly upgraded and cheaper. i only really use one vst which is reaktor as it can be anything i want it to be... which modular synth did you have in mind for hardware ? i do see your point but hardware does cost a lot and i would much rather spend that mone...

try this just install midiyoke and activate the midi inputs and outputs in your lives prefs , then have two midi tracks , one with input from keyboard etc then the output going to midiyoke 1 , then in the Arp -x8 program, change the midi input to midiyoke1 and the output to midiyoke2 , then in live ...

are your vsts in a seprate folder ? i install them into the default steinberg directory then in lives prefrences i select that folder to scan, as i dont want it to run through the entire C drive. check your prefs and select the folder which contains your vst files then click re scan and it should on...

try using midiyoke, send out of reaktor on midiyoke 1 then input in live to midiyoke 1 , not sure it will work, i have tried it before with some reaktor instruments but no luck..
