Monome

Just wondering if anyone here is using a monome? I have just built my 40h kit, but not used it with live yet, still messing with mlr and a few other apps for it.
Anyone got it properly hooked up into live? So far loving the strange little box.

I just had an operation last week on my carpal tunnel.
They cut it open so the tendons in my thumb run freely through it.
It seems a lot of people are suffering from this. My cause was mixing shows constantly with the consoles being set too low.
Now I have a scar and can pretend to be hard!

hotplugging is plugging it in when the computer is switched on, never never never do this with the 410, it may be ok once or twice but it will get fried!
See if you can pay by some secure means so that if there is anything wrong then you get your money back.

Make sure you test it before you buy it, and never hot plug it, it can blow your firewire card up and fry the 410. It is a common problem with the fw410.

some accounts are not working still, apperently 1% but I bet its more than that.
Mine is working fine, but my wife has no access to hers!
Think they would have sorted this by now, pretty rubbish really, it's no use not having email especially when you have to pay so much for it!

My monome kit will be with me on monday, it looks like early learning centre version of electronics, which is great as I am far to lazy to go any deeper than that. Wish I had the balls to go in any deeper, but circuit bending is as far as I can be bothered!

ya know, all you need is to know the stuff. The degrees or certificates will get you corporate gigs at best. Not very musical. Less green is better than green and educated. Get an 8trk pro tool le system, a mackie 16chnl mixer and half a dozen mics and get busy  And just read about it. There ...

Why not try to get on a music tech course at you local college or something, to pick up the basics that you need. Then the best bet is whore yourself around studios until you can get some work as a tea boy or something, then once you been there for a while you may be allowed to do some demo mixes. T...

You just have to route each instrument individually to the hardware device outputs, then set abletons midi channels to desired instrument, or direct to audio if you have sequenced it within reason

I trained as a set designer for 3 years with a designer from the royal opera house, I was fantastic, but in all fairness probably the hardest out of all the technical artistic crafts to get work in! You have about the same chance as becoming a constantly working actor as you would set designer, so I...
