I'm actually using the multi outputs options with samplers alot in Logic when it comes to drums/fx while composing and it works pretty good for me to be honest. You can use the auxes to mix it anyways if you want. It's very different from how i work with Live, but using both is definently the key. ...

Nope, you can only use two.

I looked into USB or otherwise peripheral grafics cards for notebooks a while back, but unfortunately the performance seems to be so poor at to make them worthless.

What kind of sound do you do? Is it music that would otherwise be danceable? or mixable? Don't take that the wrong way, it just got me all curious. I can't imagine sifting through a track collection when I play, but I never really got into Ableton to do live stuff, more of the old fashioned Traktor ...

I just pulled up the track I meant cause I wanted to hear it again - this track kicks serious ass. It's by Modeselektor, title is "Silikon feat Sasha Perera" If you search Modeselektor on beatport you'll find it right away, but I think you'll really like the track - be curious to know. Cheers Chris ...

Absolutely - the RME stuff is, in my opinion, the best kit available.

it really is a nice sample, and i'm very hard to sell on vocal house.

have you heard the recent modeselektor track with the lady's voice? check it out, not really that new anymore, but there might be some fun ideas lurking inside

Whether or not it's dangerous, it certainly looks all kinds of cool.

Somehow I don't think that the product could have existed on a webpage that looked any different either.

Yes - take the job and play your normal stuff instead. Or take the job and shoot yerself. Or tell them to get some taste or f*** off. taking the job and playing his normal stuff (IDM) is the same as taking the job and shooting himself. No, it's significantly worse. If you shoot yourself it's over p...

Yes, we were just talking about that in the other thread I linked to. So far nobody has been able to make a better drum machine plugin than battery, though Ableton has gotten really close with Drum Racks, maybe in the next version.

Yeah, this one is made specially for Live DJ work, I use my DJ2 with Traktor primarily as well.

That's a good point, we think we control the beats, but they're let loose in a room full of party people, they take power!

I think they are talking about needing crossfades on the same track to tame some audio loops. The idea being that the "little string part on the end" will get cut off unpleasantly on a raw loop, and Live has no audio tool to handle crossfades in the same channel. So thatt makes sense, it's not the ...

The Nocturne does look _really_ good. I have a Novation Remote Zero SL and I can vouch for the auto map working extremely well. The build quality on all the Novation stuff is excellent. My major problem with the Remote Zero is that the hardware is all non motorized, and the positions of the faders /...

16 Stereo tracks or 16 mono tracks? First figure out the bitrate you intend to record at - this can vary from 1411 kbit/s for PCM down to 192 kbit/s for MP3 that doesn't hurt too much to listen to, down to just over 30k for AM radio. I'm sure you can fit somewhere in that range. Then multiply that b...
