Re: Live 9.2 wish list (I know this soon?)

Automation delay compensation, scrollwheel zooming would make my year. Retina support too.

Re: Weird 2013 Macbook Retina Latency Issue

These new machines with their faster processors and improved software should have at least SLIGHTLY better latency than it's predecessor, or even the same. But it's the opposite which is not good at all. Regardless of how high or low you set the buffer, these machines are worse than LAST YEAR'S mod...

Re: Weird 2013 Macbook Retina Latency Issue

Once you load a few soft synths or large sample libraries that small a buffer will start to produce crackles, pops, etc. On a side note, I don't know why people are so quick to defend a $3K laptop having higher latency than its predecessor. As audio people we should not let Apple or other companies ...

I guess my point is, who cares what the new default is, you can still lower it to whatever you want.
Wrong. If everything has 10 ms more latency than it used to, one cannot lower it to *whatever* they want. They may be able to lower it to "what they want + 10ms", but no lower.

Re: understanding PDC problems and solutions

----------- And to all keeping to complain: That thing isn't something you can't fix. You can always Rewire Live into a DAW, and use the working features you like from Live. I got pissed off by that too and was frustrated investing so much into one thing that was buggy from first day and never got r...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

PDC was introduced as a feature in live 5. it never compensated for automation, graphics, or internal clock. Only audio. to clarify for people just checking in now, or who are confused, this only affects you in two situations: 1) If you are drawing automation on a track that is being adjusted by PD...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

As for sdfak1234's bounce and print workflow, I'm fine with that... BUT... once the audio is bounced, and you want to add a few fx to the newly bounced audio and reprint again... isn't this issue continually cropping up? I suppose what you must do is then manually align the newly printed audio as s...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

I'm seriously interested in how so many EDM artists use Ableton for production, a product which has major timing problems, with any success? I am honestly curious about their workarounds... does anyone have any interviews with major artists talking about this problem? The appeal of Ableton was bein...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

I was thinking of switching back to Live after many years of not using it, but this issue seriously scares me. Can someone summarize how to avoid these timing issues in Live, so I can then evaluate if these so-called workarounds are acceptable to me? From what I gather, the main thing seems to be av...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

Oops I was not clear. I know the issue is real and confirmed. What I meant to ask was am I correct in believing an Ableton Rep has not commented on whether or not this issue is being resolved for v9?

I read most of this thread but never saw an Ableton Rep commenting either way about this issue, correct?

Push beat-slicing workflow

Hello, I've searched around and not found any great info on the beat-slicing workflow with Push. Does anyone have any insight on how it will go? I'm guessing I would drag, say, a 100 bpm drumloop into a 140bpm session in ableton and make sure my warp markers are the way I like them. Then I get a lit...
