Re: The World Cup Thread

I have respect for the players that drop out early. They clock that they'll never win anything early on and think, nah, fuckit, I'd rather go on holiday. See: Paul Scholes. All this, 'highest honour to play for your country' is bollocks. In their minds its the highest honour to play for their clubs...

Re: The World Cup Thread

Re: The World Cup Thread

Re: The World Cup Thread

It was a poor performance yes but we have to keep it all in perspective in terms of recent world cups too. England have never performed in any way that can be described as acceptable for the players they have: France '98 England finished second in group, lost in the last 16 and out of the comp S Ko...

Re: The World Cup Thread

As much as the players were shit, some(or a lot) of the blame has to go to the manager. I think his hard way of managing has back fired and they are all scared to make a mistake. So they make plenty. im not having that. the subs yes. but being to hard on what was a bunch of holiday campers sorry no...

Re: The World Cup Thread

another point. green got all the flak after the last game [not from me]. well he wasnt on the pitch and it was the same story. toothless attack and a piss weak passing game. goalkeepers arent the problem.

Re: The World Cup Thread
