Ghost is easy and works well for me.
It does seem to be a lot more bloated in newer versions from the old pre-Norton days. For some reason it now even has a stupid system tray icon which serves no purpose whatsoever. Still has never failed me though.

Yes I could get another unlock code, no I am not scared of unlocking it again. No, I don't think Ableton will pursue me. Was just easier at the time and there is no need to unlock it now unless I reformat my PC.

Who cares? I have a license, but can't be bothered to get a new authorisation code because my audio pc is not connected to the internet. If Ableton want to pursue me for use of a crack when I hold a valid license they are more than welcome to.

Recording at 24-bit gives you a wider dynamic range and means you can be easily a long way from the noise floor without worrying as much about getting your levels near to 0dBFS. I don't know about dithering in Live, but any audio editor will be able to truncate/add dither in one operation. It was th...

I do 16-bit 44.1Khz. I used to do like Tarekith, 24-bit and dither but am getting old and lazy.

Well they are both 'correct' terms, just can be a bit confusing as I always assume a phono stage input!

You mean an RCA connector? Not an actual phono stage on the soundcard (I'm guessing not if it is coming from a mixer).
Edirol do that little USB one:

It was at Plasa - still some teething problems with the MIDI I think, or it might have just been that laptop setup on the day.
It is rather tasty, it's just whether you want your Audio + MIDI in one expensive unit really.
