Back to the mixer, it has an Infinium crossfader which should be pretty tasty. Should be able to have a play on it next week at Plasa, hopefully Skratchworx will get a review model in due course.

For recording vinyl I'd recommend you get a decent cartridge and decent soundcard, and a decent separate phono pre-amp if you can stretch to it. I use a Shure V15VxMR cartridge on my Technics 1200 going straight into the phono input on my Emu1820 card. Sounds infinitely better than my dj carts going...

How responsive are MIDI crossfaders? I'm guessing you can't really scratch properly with them?

I'm thinking maybe I should now upgrade to Live 5 and not unlock it in anticipation of Live 6. Mmmm.

It seems to be related to ID3v2 tags, but I can't really work out whether it is one specific tag or not. The tracks causing problems include CBR MP3.

Using Live 4 - got some similar samples loaded across one instance of impulse. Can i quickly copy one sample cell's setting to all the others? I want the same filtering, velocities etc. on all the cells.
