Yeah it can be tricky - like blakbeltjonez mentioned you need a reference point. I tend to generally put them just at the start of the kick (like you would for the very first beat of the track). It can be hard to see where that might be when the track has more going on in it. If in doubt - use the m...

Well in a lot of cases they definitely aren't getting paid to mix properly!

Yeah you can't go wrong with the TTM-56 or Empath. The 56 is still the best scratch mixer on the market and the post-fader effects loop with wet/dry control is really well thought out for dj use.
Splash the cash, you won't need another mixer for a while.

Yeah just set each channel to route out of your soundcard channels in it's little drop down menu (instead of routing it to the master channel). I think I have to choose EXT and then 1/2, 3/4 , 5/6 etc. Can't remember exactly without it in front of me. This may vary slightly card to card. For my Emu ...

Yeah, that's basically what the product manager at Ecler told me to do! He said to forget about tapping or nudging the clock.

My reply from Ecler was a bit confusing but it seems like there is no real dedicated adjustment of the MIDI clock signal, more likely that you would use one of the 4 MIDI controls assigned to tempo in Live. Not 100% sure on this though - will have to wait until it is released - hopefully Skratchworx...

MIDI keyboard recommendation?

Probably been done to death - but I am looking to get a MIDI keyboard for use with Live. The difference is that I don't really need something that would be usuable in a 'live' situation, but one suited to simply being in my bedroom as a production tool. It's my first keyboard so not sure what I am l...

John, I have just sent a mail over to the product manager at Ecler, to see if he can clarify the extent to which the Nuo-4 can have it's clock adjusted.

I'd definitely pay for a decent software solution that could generate MIDI clock and nudge etc. from an audio input. Would be great.

Apparentely the reason for two iPods was to do with digital rights and not making copies or something ridiculous. Skratchworx (with a K people!) has the original thread about the unit, as Gizmo was over at Messe, but told not to take photos!
