Re: What does out of memory or not enough memory mean?

I did manage to get around my situation, - switched off background resources (e.g.virus protection) - opened new Live set - used the show/hide browser on the left hand side to search hard drive - opened set from there by double clicking - went through each track (mainly in the drum racks) and got r...

Re: What does out of memory or not enough memory mean?

Running 8.1.1 on Vista 32 (3Gb RAM) with fully up to date drivers and service packs ect. Getting the not enough memory error as soon as a particular live set opens, can't do anything with it. If I try and freeze some channels it crashes, if I try and save individual channels then it crashes. The err...

Re: Automation snap to grid?

I really thought this would have been be implemented before now, being such a basic feature. Thanks for letting me know.

Automation snap to grid?

Hi, I know this is basics but I can't seem to get this to work - is it possible to get automation lines to snap to the chosen grid (e.g 1/16) when not using draw mode? At the moment I'm having to zoom right in to make sure any automation that I want perfectly aligned to the grid is correct. I'm refe...

Re: Transposing MIDI files..

^^ I know close to nothing about music theory but I'm pretty sure he'd need to move some intervals around like he mentioned.. So they don't all just move relative to eachother (like move everything up 2 notes, or down 3 notes), some of the notes would be shifted around a bit, is that right OP? Actu...

Transposing MIDI files..

Hi,

Is there an easy way to convert MIDI files to different keys? For example I have some MIDI files in the key of E Minor, how could they be converted to A Minor? Is this possible without manually working out all the intervals..

Thanks.

How to accurately use EQ to remove a defined frequency range

Hi, I've heard that it's good to slightly lower the 220-280hz range on the master channel to make a cleaner sounding mix. The problem I have is that I don't know how to make this happen with the EQ Eight plugin. I think I have to use the notch mode but it doesn't seem accurate enough, I end up remov...

Re: Live 8.4 'Back to Arrangement' button constantly on...

When you're playing in the session view the red light should be on. When you switch to the arrangement view if the red light is on you need to click it so that the arrangement view plays instead of the session, the light should go out at this stage. The problem I have is that the light stays on whet...

Re: Live 8.4 'Back to Arrangement' button constantly on...

I'm using the PC version, version 8.04. I'm still getting the problem and it seems to be linked to the Genesis CM synth. But now the back to arrangement view light still stays on but it doesn't affect the operation, it still plays the arrangement view but the light stays on. I don't know whether it'...

There are countless pro artists that use Live for studio production, the first name that comes to mind is Armin Van Buuren - officially the best DJ in the world and also an extremely talented produ...
