Re: loading multiple loops into groove~/buffer~ within m4l

I've had better success with groove~, as it has interpolation, as opposed to play~.

You can use a cool object to store file paths, then feed them into teach buffer~ using set $1 messages...

Re: petition: tighten move playing position in M4L

@juanSolo, indeed. I get the sense this issue is regarded as a niche issue, but it is anything but. It strikes to the heart of live itself, a machine for the manipulation of audio clips in real time. It is very much frustrating to have to essentially bypass the live audio engine just to do basic cli...

Re: Granulator is killing my Macpro

ive had the same experience trying to use granulator in my existing setup (which is non-to-light on the cpu itself, with a few custom max patches of my own), adding granulator just kills performance, and it sounds very degraded.

Re: HID to MIDI with MAX

have you looked at the hi object help? If you copy that whole help patch into your patch, its got a drop down menu which lets you set the device you're polling (also lets you choose different polling frequencies). Then look at the max window to see what kind of data you're getting out of your device...

Re: Modifying one track with another, MIDI track

do you have max for live? There's a really useful patch that takes incoming audio and uses it to drive an envelope which can then control any other parameter in your live set, which you could use to drive pitch changes...

Re: ANyone know how to make a good sub bass?

exactly. We're talking about layering sub-bass to an existing bassline. You'll still need to have an instrument layer (or two) which delivers in the bass and mid and upper frequencies, but when it comes to subbass, all you need is a strong subbass. Harmonics are just going to muddy it.

Re: ANyone know how to make a good sub bass?

a sine wav will move more air through a large system than a square wave (the slow increase in power will overcome the inertia of the air better than the sharp transition of the square wave. So take a mono sine wave, lowpass it down to just the subbass range, and use that to layer over every other ba...

pretty please! Just think of all the little button mashers out there, forced down arcane roads, away from the warm pastures of stable live clip manipulation...such a shame, as this is the heart of the software. Give me access to your heart!!!

+1 to the well written post from neuromodulator above. Communication and humbleness are two essential characteristics of the good businessman. If you want to sell your products, then you have the obligation to be a good businessman. Otherwise, embrace your independence and give away your work. If yo...
