I have a Vox amp that I love...but for live use using ableton, micing an amp or sending out a direct line isn't really worth it. I use a Boss GT-6 or effects so I just send that straight into my mixer...this settles all the issues of having what you're hearing not being the same as what your recordi...

Figured i'd chime in on my experiences. Using Live as a master is simply NOT stable and the explantion for this (from what i can remember) is the problem has more to do with the computers ability to keep solid time rather than some sort of software problem. I don't remember specifics, but everytime ...

#1 there are many ways to do what you want. You can automate the clip to record however many bars you want...and then once that time is up it will start playing. In pref's make sure 'select on launch' is on. You can trigger the clip to start recording...many people use a footpedal...but again, that'...

Shoot...I guess I'm the only one with this problem. I guess I should have labelled it under the major CPU spike which halts Live in the middle of a groove. Well, whatever...Live is way to buggy right now...they rushed to get it out and this is what you get for buying the first version upgrade. I jus...

No...this is what the whole post is about...when looping, warping must be on. What would be optimal would be to choose on a track by track basis, what kind of warping will be used, if any, at all. I don't give a damn what anybody says about recording a clip at a certain BPM and having it NOT affect ...

Live 6 Midi Mapping Bug

Hi... I've got a big problem in Live 6 which just does not happen in 5. I have several tracks record enabled and I've mapped cc's from my midi footpedal to the each of the record enabled tracks relative session play buttons. Global Quantization is set to 4 bars and I'll hit the respective play butto...

use the triton as the master.
from what i've read...lives clock is not good when syncing gear to it...however, when i sync'd my live and my cs6x synth to my adrennalinn (master)...everything was super solid...no more random drifts.

are you going to be recording midi...
if so, the audiophile is not a good choice.
you're going to have to shell out some dough to get a soundcard with low enough latency to record midi live...especially drums.

friend_kami, to start a clip looping instead of recording simply trigger it again. Let me put this in step by step terms, to see if I understand you right: 1. Stomp MIDI pedal to start recording 2. Stomp again to quit recording 3. Stomp again to trigger loop Is that right? all except the last part ...

Could someone please explain something to me...do you only experience big time latency if you are triggering sounds from the computer (Battery/Reason/Impulse)? I guess I want to know...If you use say...a drumkat...with an external module (roland brain or Alesis D4 or something...)...and you direct m...
