Anyway, here's a slightly more ambitious one and to be honest it's a bit of a shock how it tu...

Cool guys, thanks so much for the kind comments. You spotted the Uke drums too eh? =) Yeah I found a few nice noises from basically smacking it over the sound hole (ooerrrr!) and scratching the side with me nails. EDIT: Re-reading you didnt mean that kinda tapping i think, but yeah I did that too! E...

Ableton Noobie First Efforts

Heart in mouth I post these =) Since buying Ableton and Reason I have been getting into the swing of recording the slightly odd songs I come up with. Inspiration comes from buying new toys mostly =) My stuff is not electronica so I reckon some people might find it odd that I chose Ableton but I find...

Here's how I fixed it, by not really fixing it at all.

I found that old sets worked fine. It was just broken for all new sets...

So I cleaned everything out of an old set, and saved that as default.

So it works, and no, I never found out what the issue was...

Having this exact problem whenever I create a new Ableton live set. I have created a few songs before, and it all worked fine. Then I recently tried to use Ableton > Reason again and it plays only random notes. 1) When you play the notes, they trigger correctly, and record correctly in the midi clip...

Personnally I think Ministry, especially Psalm 69 manage to mix a high degree of electronic production with genuine tooth rattling metal. Probably closer to the 'physical' instrumental side of things than the other suggestions here.

*lightbulb* Awesome, thanks very much. That did the trick. I had created a new track for testing which I hadn't added to the arrangement. Looking back, I should have used the arrangement view for all this, but the Session system is so awesome after traditional daws, that I hoped to use it all the ti...

Thanks for the help clipless, yeah i can't see why it isnt working. I have it all recorded in clips at the moment, I prefer the session view. Can I punch in and out of a pre-existing audio clip? Hunting around people were saying that it carried on recording after punch-out. That indicated to me that...
