Nope. It appears and an Audio Effect device, where it asks for a MIDI Instrument to be placed in front of it if I drop it into an existing MIDI track. If I drag-drop the plug into an empty space of session or arrange then it creates an Audio Track. Which version of L9 are you using? 64 ot 32-bit?

No problems with that here either. Try a contact with support. They might have a quick fix. That sound like software issue.
