Drum rack and multisampling

Does ableton 8 come with drum rack as standard and is simpler anygood working with multisamples how might you load them in?

I read somewhere on the forum you can turn your sampler to simpler and keep the multisamples.

Re: Moving saved settings for Ableton instruments

So it appears that I put 8 on and then drag the library folder from 6 to 8 then uninstall 6?

Moving saved settings for Ableton instruments

Recently I have been through and loaded alot of samples into sampler and saved these and operator settings. What happens to these if I upgrade?

How can I move over my saved settings from live 6 to live 8?

Sampler, multisamples and velocity help needed

I have looked in the manual but it does not fully explain. If I drop multi samples in is there a way that I can get sampler to automatically assign each sample to a note rather than all at C3? Rather than manually going through and changing them. Also, if this is not possible, is there a way of lock...

+1

Great idea about standardising the -14 dB bit. Problem is how do you regulate it?

There are a lot of people making music at home pushing it hard. However there are not too many people making films at home that are getting public exposure in the same way without regulation.

Switching VST's when upgrading

If I upgrade from my current live to 8 should I be able to just redirect the library path for the VST's to the VST folder and not have to re-install?

The question really is if I upgrade do I have to enter all my serial numbers again for VST's?

Sorry Tarekith  . I made you sound like a hobbyist. I mean professionals on different levels.

You can pay top whack for the most recognised pre-mastering studio engineers, but you don't have to when there are people out there like you. :D

Re: How do you read a spectrum analyzer??

Yeah I do. My ear sometimes tricks me though for example I had a vocal that was not quite in key and I couldn't decide which note worked better. My ears are not musically trained very well. I could of looked to help my decision a bit quicker

Re: loudness

Depends if you want it to be loud or sound good? It's your choice. Personally I go for punch and clarity. Certain sounds need their transients intact so that we recognise the sound. There should still be a decent dynamic range to give the track some life. I'm guessing you want it to sound big not pr...
