The Duet looks interesting as well.. I usually don´t need more than 2 ins. How is the
latency with Live and the Duet? Since coming from Apogee I guess the sound is ok.

Are you powering up the Firebox with the power adapter? Because that's how you're supposed to be powering it up. Even if you have a TI chipset, there is a hardware limitation of the MBP's firewire that won't allow you to boot the device without power. I'm suprised if you can get it to boot after 10...

MacBook Pro and soundcard

I know this has been up for discussion several times, but thought I´d have another go on the subject. Currently I have a Presonus Firebox which is fine. However, there are issues. The Firebox has trouble with "booting up" when it is plugged in to my mac. Sometimes I have to plug/unplug it 10-15 time...

I`ve used NeoOffice quite a bit, and it is a really nice freeware package. It is also much nicer and more mac`ish than open office. I`m however, no poweruser on any office tools, so I`ve found that the iWorks package usually suits my needs. After using Pages for a while I found it rather awkward to ...

I've used a Firepod for quite some time, and it has never let me down. Rock solid on every computer I've used it with. WinXp desktop and laptop and my Macbook Pro. Joy only. Recently I've not needed all the inputs, so I switched with my friend, who gave me his Firebox.. He got inputs, I got mobility...
