caveat: i work for shure on these very products I really like the E2's. They perform quite well for the price. I also have the E5's (the 500dollar ones), but I prefer the E2's mostly. If you can mix down to a pair of these, your 'choons will sound okay in a big club system. For personal listening, y...

Going rate here in Chicagoland is about $20000 cash, and she'd be most likely from Ukrain, Poland, or other Eastern Europe / Slavic nations.

why doesn't ableton have named markers?

It would be a great help if Ableton had markers in the Session view.
Or maybe it does, and I don't know where to find them.... ?
Help?

Considering many other people have success with Ableton, i suspect your hardware is causing conflicts. I think you should send Ableton the crash log.

There's really only one answer to your problem. You need a second sound card/device. You can consider your computer's onboard sound one device, then use either a USB (any of the M-audio or similar) /Firewire (presonus comes to mind) as a second device for cueing. For PC users, this is an excellent s...

CM Ableton special issue finally available in Chicago!

I've been scanning the bookstores for this issue since 29 Dec 05, so glad it's finally for sale! The tutorials are nice and all, but when I read thru them, I already know how to do this stuff. This issue is a great companion to the manual. Can't wait to get home and dive into the CD ! I was hoping f...

I'm very happy about Live 5, it's a huge improvement on 4.

However,

I never had crashing on 4, and I do now.

I suggest: upgrade anyway.

Thanks for the advice , guys.

I'm running the demo, soon to be an owner.

I suspected as much, that this is an integration issue, not an Ableton problem. Just sucks because I've closed the lid on my powerbook before, and lost work.

audiorealism bug?, do you experience this problem?

Hi, When I use Audiorealism.se's Bassline, I have a consistant problem: If I close the set when the Bassline is loaded into a midi track, Ableton will crash when I try to re-open the set. Fix: Open Ableton, turn off the VST directories, then load the set. Anyone else have this problem? (Live 5, OS X...

Live PA sets have never been that popular.

I love seeing gear on stage and watching how its used.

However, i think it will remain popular to use certain instruments as part of an integrated performance, and not haul the studio out on stage.

Make it easy to quote from. Press loves being able to easily lift statements.

What is your mission? Who are your influences, and how are you different?

Say something funny!

sup, Skatalites! My band opened for them a few years back! (Skapone, Chicago)

Ableton is a fine instrument for any type of Selecter.

As with all instruments, you might as well know them both and give yourself more options depending on the gig situation.

Shure makes the best earbuds.

E5's are still king, if you can afford them.

If not, there's times that I actually prefer the E2's.
