In addition, it's a dedicated VST host. So, you could run those crazy Native Instruments CPU hog Reaktor ensembles and not drain your computer's performance.

All of my IK gear, including AT2. For the price of getting AT2 from the states, you get everything.

I dont think IK products license can be transfered

MOTU writes some of the best drivers for OSX. the new UltraLite would probably suit you very well. your 5400rpm HD should be fine, so long as you dont plan on recording externally any more than 8 tracks. thats where you want a faster drive speed the most. But for playback of tracks in your mix, 540...

I would never buy computer related products from companies that never develop their drivers/softwares such as Edirol/yamaha.......im not afan of...

The Korg microkontrol is a good 49 key midi controller. The keys aren't weighted. I use the faders and pots for volume and panning. I don't use the pads for drums. They're not that great for percussion. I assign them to play and stop and launching clips. I would say to go ahead and purchase one. mi...

Re: New Mac User Daw Optimization

I'm a new mac user. I just got an IMac Intel 1.83 G5 to complement my PC DAW. My question is, do I need to optimize this mac for music? If so, where can I find some sort of guide to set it up? Any suggestions? Where's the good Mac music sites? Also, where do I sign up for the Intel Duo Core Beta pr...

nope.

but i did find a Logic Control in excellent condition for $555.
$550-$600 is the going rate on eBay and other audio related forums.
when you buy used, its definitely much more enticing.

That's too bad. I REALLY rely on having multiple outs. Can you use it as a synth, run the synth audio into your computer, but use a different audio interface (for instance an Echo Indigo DJ) for two discrete sets of stereo out? Does that affect the MIDI integration with the host (in this case Ableto...

I mean can you have a master audio out and then a cue channel? no...even though it has headphones/spdif and stereo outs...they all are mirrors ...so basicly you have a stereo out and the cue is sa...
