Re: Leeds' compressor review - Cytomic 'The Glue'

I use this plugin on all of my productions these days. Excellent compressor.

Re: This guy i work with won shut the F*ck up about Pro Tools

I hate Pro Tools so much. Even just navigating around the timeline is aggravating for me.

Re: Reducing sample rate?

you are only dropping samples if you divide the sample rate in half, other wise your computer is doing math again I really don't understand what you guys are saying here. Is this something I need to worry about or not? Say I have a file that's 24/192, What's the best way to get it to CD quality? Fr...

djsynchro wrote:Correct, dithering only applies to reducing word length, but in Soundforge (for example) there are quality options for doing the sample rate conversion and the option to switch anti-alias filtering on or off. In Live there are no parameters to set.
Um, what?

Reducing sample rate?

I know that when I go down in bit depth I need to apply some kind of dithering depending on the material, but do I need to worry about this if I reduce the sample rate? I'd think not because it's not truncating anything, but rather just dropping samples entirely.

Thanks!

Thanks! : D Here's another shot. Anyone interested in a Moog Little Phatty? It's a great little synth, but I don't use it very much and I want more modules. Image

Re: Recording Massive filter manipulation into a clip envelope?

Glad it's working for you! Strange the APC crossfader doesn't work for this....is it pre-mapped or something? It maps to things fine within Live, but it's like Massive can't even see it. It's definitely the APC, all the other MIDI controllers I have work fine. Does the APC40 use some kind of transm...

Re: Recording Massive filter manipulation into a clip envelope?

I can get it to work with other MIDI controllers, but not the crossfader on the APC40. Does anyone know why? I'd like to use that because it's really loose, but I guess I can just deal with the stiffer faders on my trigger finger.

Thanks dude, you rock.

Re: Recording Massive filter manipulation into a clip envelope?

Don't map the APC knob in Live, just map it in Massive. As soon as you map a knob to a parameter in Live you lose the ability to record into session view for that knob/parameter. If you just map the APC knob to the macro knob in Massive, all Live is doing is recording the MIDI CC# info and relaying...

Re: Recording Massive filter manipulation into a clip envelope?

Again, map the filter in Massive to a macro knob in Massive. You can then record it into a clip in session view. This isn't working for me. I'm mapping the macro knob to the cutoff, and then hitting the "configure" button on the plugin device in Live, and then mapping that to my APC40. Still no dic...

Re: Recording Massive filter manipulation into a clip envelope?

You're having the same problem I'm having? I just ended up recording it as audio. Please let me know if you find a solution.
