Re: Default Velocity...

you can also jump down/up in steps of 20 (ie 1, 20, 40,...) using the "c" & "v" keys. Or by holding "alt" when clicking on an existing note and moving the mouse up/down you also change the velocity of the next notes you draw.

Re: Traktor Scratch Pro or Duo...?

do you know any place that still has Traktor Scratch? I was planing on getting Traktor Scratch Duo this week, but it seems there's no more Audio4DJ or Audio8DJ interfaces or Scratch versions of Traktor left in Europe. I did see Hard To Find Records website says they have it in store, but they're ask...

But I believe i've seen videos where its set to auto monitor and im able to control whatever track is selected. Any suggestions? You have to arm the track not only select it (ie activate the re...

Re: more then 8 makro knobs in Instrument rack for plugin

Hold back with the python scripts & max overkill. If I understand his posts here and on the NI forum all he wants to do is control 64 parameters of a vst with his apc's knobs. de wouzer: Forget about midilearn, forget about racks. To control more parameters you need to load the machine vst onto the ...

Re: Bug or Feature? can not route Audio FROM a frozen track

I see no technical reason why you couldn't access the routing "post FX" (which means pre-mixer too) from a frozen track. "Pre-fx" wouldn't be possible as the devices are frozen together with the clips Yeah, that's how I was expecting it should work. It seem reproducible 100% with all effects that a...

Re: Bug or Feature? can not route Audio FROM a frozen track

OK done a little more testing: If I select the frozen track as input for an audio track the default setting for the lower box is post mixer an this works. If I want to change it to post FX I get the error message. With the compressor, the default setting after selecting the track is post FX, giving ...

Bug or Feature? can not route Audio FROM a frozen track

I understand the concept of not being able to freeze a track that receives audio from another track as changing the track sending the audio should, but would not, change the sound of the (receiving) frozen track (though I would prefer an option to freeze all tracks that are routed together at once)....

Re: Maschine driver CPU usage

But in Live, the CPU meter is unaffected whether Maschine is plugged in or not. So what do you think, is it using the CPU while inactive or not? If you read the Live manual you'll find that Live's CPU meter displays the CPU usage of live's sound engine so as long as the machine software isn't loade...

Track Vol. info-view Text on Master in Arrange 8.2.2b1

Just noticed that when you hover over the master Volume box in Arrangement view the Info view box displays the text for track volume. Whereas in session view it has its own text (though a simple copy/paste from session wouldn't do as the text there mentions dragging the "triangular handle" which doe...

Re: re: how do i stop a clip from playing in a different scene

If you right click on an empty clip you will get the option "Add/Remove Stop button"
When the clip has a stop button, launching the scene should stop any clip in that track, if the stop button is removed the track keeps on playing.

Re: Warping the Tempo automation

9.2.1 Tempo Master/Slave All warped clips in the Arrangement View have one further option: They can be defined as tempo masters by toggling their Master/Slave switches. Any number of clips can be set as tempo masters, but only one clip at a time can actually be the tempo master. This distinction is...

Re: Warping the Tempo automation

In the clip view there's a little button that says 'slave'. Click on that so it says 'Master' and live will set its master tempo to follow that clip (only works in arrangement view though, not in session)

Not necessarily very versatile, but what it does, it does well.
