headphones?

Hi all,

What are some popular headphones for my home music studio?

I want some that are comfortable to stay around my neck and a manageable chord and of course good audio quality?

Looping gear question

Hi all,

Which foot controller can record loops and play them direct to PA (just like the Boss RC loopers) and also record and start looping on Ableton? Or best to have 2 different devices?

Re: multiple takes in session question

Great info, thank you, will be experimenting with it. I understand what you mean about working with both views. I grew up on Arrangement view and moved to Session for songwriting bc of the speed and ease to try out different song sections and their variations (Scenes). What about Group & Comping var...

multiple takes in session question

Hi all, Been Googling this but too specific it seems. When I start writing a tune, I typically need to sketch out various melody takes for each song part. I use Session View. Example: Scene 1 Track 1: Piano Verse (midi) Track 2: Voice 1st melody (audio) Duplicate Scene 1 Scene 2 Track 1: Piano Verse...

Dont NEEED drum pads (at least I wont use up my time learning this initially). The main thing I need it is for workflow.... to quickly record clips, quickly ...

Workspace ideas?

Hi all Below link to photo. I need to have the music keyboard on the desk to access laptop keyboards command shortcuts and see the computer screen. Obvs because the computer keyboard is attached to the laptop, elevating it is not an option, or at last a very awkward one; I tried with a DJ laptop sta...

adjusting volume question

Hi! So far I have used Utility effect to increase the Volume on audio clips that were recorded at too low volumes compared to better recorded clips (example field recordings). Curious if there are other ways to increase volume other than the Utility effect and/or using track's Volume envelopes? Than...
