Cool stuff man, twisted, you know I like the glitch. :)

Not really into the hip hoppish tunes in the beginning, only cause I don't like hip hop that much. Good tunes, just the vocals kill it for me. Minor crit though, and entirely personal opinion.

Sweet mix though, flows well together.

I just sync Live manually, highlight the tempo field and use the arrow keys (and SHIFT) to narrow in on the tempo. I have QWERTY keys assigned to fire my clips, so it's easy to reset the "1.1.1" position if need be. If I need o fine tune, it's easiest to just adjust the turntable speed. It...

Well, my TM-1 arrived yesterday. Nice looking box, and the unit itself is very nice looking as well, matches the MD perfectly. I did have the same issue a few others reported, where the manual was packed right on top of the unit's brushed aluminum case. As a result, the ink from the manual rubbed of...

You need to chill out man. Yeah it's not ideal but a workaround is better than not having that functionality at all. Sure we all want to see it improved, but acting like a 4 year old throwing a temper tantrum is not going to help the Ableton's see your point of view.

Do the volumes retain their relative volumes though? Hmmm, I'll have to try this, it's one of my few remaining gripes with Live that you can't group and lower the volume of all tracks at once, much needed for mixdowns...

Does it happen like in the last 8 bars of a file? Some people on the LiveDJ forums were saying that they rain into something like this with the last 8 bars of an MP3, but I haven't seen it myself.

I can see where that would be useful. My MD has this feature, you can nudge the tempo forward and back by small amounts and the MIDI clock it sends follows this as well. Ableton tried adding nudge to clips, but I never really thought it was implemented that well.

It's really not that hard to beatmatch Live to other audio with practice. I have a Red Sound Micro Sync, but never use it anymore as I find it easier to just sync Live by ear than deal with the Micro Sync. Just keep the tempo field highlighted, and use the arrow keys (and SHIFT) to get it to the rig...

Does the book have anything new that the website story didn't have? I loved the online read until he stopped it, was wondering what came out of that.

This is all from the company that more or less destroyed Emu just to get Dave's chip ideas for the Sb cards too. Yeah they still make some stuff, but nowhere near as cool as the Emu of old.

You don't really trade it in though, you just say you're going to if I understand the deal correctly.
