M-Audio actually had the Control One that I was waiting for deperately, did exactly what you want (minus the LEDs, but it displayed position in a global LCD). This has been asked for many times already, definitely would be nice.

The loop preview volume slider is already there, it's the volume "knob" in the master section next to the headphones symbol.

I agree on the hints thing too, would be very helpful.

Abysynth 3 is full of many, many bugs, especially the VSTi and effect versions (standalone is better). I get stuck notes constantly with it, so much so that it's completely unuseable IMO. The next update is supposed to be out before the end of February FWIW.
