Ah ok, thanks for that, i put up a newer version but it didnt replace the old one properly.

i dont like playing live with an external drive, it's just more gear to lug, more possibility of things going wrong. I prefer to have all the music i want to play live on my laptop and then have my ex - drive at home in the studio for keeping my sound libraries etc. If i find sounds i want use live ...

Within Live go to the help menu at the top of your screen, select 'lessons table of contents', look down to where it says harware setup, click on 'setting up latency compensation'

Upgrade now as it seems 5.2 is becoming more stable, and the dont bother with 6 until you really need it and/or until all the bugs are ironed out. The multiple processor support will probbaly be live 6 most important feature. But yeah it certainly does seem like a load of marketing and commercialism...
