The latest is you can't login from the home page at the top right corner when the flash pop up window comes up in Safari. Clicking the login button doesn't do anything just sits there, you have to go into the support section & login from there. :x Why must they insist on using flash? The website see...

Re: convert .aif to .wav

If anyone is interested I stumbled upon how to do this easily with an app I already had  :) . Izotope RX, just open the .aif file, then save as, select .wav. So easy! No resampling, bit reduction, signal loss or editing out silence after recording required and the sample comes out an exact cop...

Re: I rearranged my sample folder and now my track is empty!HELP

View -> File Manager -> Manage Project -> Missing Files -> Locate -> Automatic Search (select search folder) Also, if you do your sample folder organizing within the Live Browser, Live will be more likely to retain memory of where you've moved them to. It takes a little longer that way with only one...

Digital clock sync & direct monitoring issue

I've spent a whole day trying to get this to work. :x Here's my digital input signal chain, different scenarios tested all connected with SPIDF RCA cables: No Sync: Lavry AD11 -> TC Fireworx -> Komplete Audio 6 (Komplete Audio 6 rejects external clock when selected) Fireworx -> Komplete Audio 6 (Kom...

Re: what do you guys use to clean up OsX Lion ?

Second, permissions. The Disk Utility is a great tool but there is one limitation, it doesn't validate and reset the permissions of the home folder of the user. Use the reset password function to do this. Use the reset Home folder permissions and ACLs. How exactly step by step is the best way to do...

Re: Desperately need VST3 support!

OK, cool I'm going to rack the Motif this week, haven't tried the editor yet.

Then what is the advantage of the VST3 editor if you can just use it standalone?

Re: Desperately need VST3 support!

Is there any other solution (like a wrapper or standalone app) to get the Motif editor running that doesn't require a second DAW along side using Live?

Re: OS X Lion 10.7.3 released "UPDATE"

OK, but as long as you don't skip a version & just update to the very next version, software update should be the same thing right?

http://www.macworld.com/article/165183/2012/02/some_10_7_3_users_encounter_nasty_bug_fix_available.html For those who haven't updated yet -> better use the combo updater: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1484 I've heard this several times to use the combo updater instead of software update when a new ...

Re: ALAC / Apple Lossless Support

I've been using Apple Lossless w/Live for a few years now. Almost my whole iTunes library is Apple Lossless, I just drag them from the iTunes browser right onto the clip slots in Live. Easy. The only thing I wish for is Live to read the .m4a files without having to store a .wav as a buffer. The sets...

Re: guitar pedals as effects sends

It will work as stated above, but the way to get the best sound quality is to match the impedance by using something like the Reamp box. You don't need a mixer, just run the 1/4 jacks out/back in your sound card.

Re: don't worry, dubstep is now officially dead

The strange/funny/ironic thing is almost all the hype I've heard about dubstep being the super hot thing right now has pretty much been isolated to and come from this forum. Either it's a small niche of electronic music fans & producers that perceive it as something larger than it really has become ...

I think chances that anyone on this forum actually has this collection & share their experience are pretty low unfortunately. Don't know your application, but the string sound I'm in...
