Re: Anyone using the 'Push development Kit' ?

All of the buttons are children of the push control surface in the API. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20787665/_eb_taptempo.maxpat There's an example of how to automatically get control of the tap tempo when you load the live set (make sure to have the push plugged in). and the toggle will mon...

Re: Anyone using the 'Push development Kit' ?

I would avoid the user button. From my experience, it tells the hardware to entire a different mode, so once you push it, the push loses its 'secret power' (meaning all of the nifty stuff you can do with the API). I would just repurpose a button that you don't really use much, I use the tap tempo an...

Re: Preset action over parameters controlled by [live.remote~]

It would be my guess that the preset got recalled before the live.remote was able to go through the API and find what it was supposed to be controlling. Once a parameter is referenced by a live.remote, that live.remote is the only thing that can control it. You could however tie an automatable/store...

Re: multi point envelope draw (idea)

- I second clydesdale on everything he/she said just before. - The device works very well atm, congratulations, it's very good. - Why not doing a modded version where the envelope would be driven by a midi-mappable knob (ala mapulator, which doesn't work in Live 64 bit) ? - It's late. So what...

Re: multi point envelope draw (idea)

Implemented a HOLD or ANY text box. The current envelope will continue playing until finished. Once it stops it will activate on the next received midi note. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20787665/Lil%27MidiEnvy.amxd I was taking a look at implementing looping envelopes and had a few questions...

Re: M4L device to MIDI map crossfader and scale 0-64?

Hey clydesdale, Upon further inspection, the device doesn't work with the crossfader. It moves the crossfader, as I can see it moving, but it has no affect on actually performing the action of crossfading. I have the device on a MIDI track and it is assigned to Master > Mixer > Crossfader. I have a...

Re: M4L device to MIDI map crossfader and scale 0-64?

It's weird that you cant map the crossfader with multimap. You can do it with a menu based approach I've used in other devices, and I just hooked up a dial with 0% - 50% ange and it works with the crossfader. Try this:

Re: multi point envelope draw (idea)

The only reason the drop down menus are there is for advice I made a while back that mapped to eight macros, it was quicker to do it with the menus. Take out the menus! I'm glad to hear other people have experienced difficulties with the 'map' button, because I did too. Looking forward to seeing whe...

Re: multi point envelope draw (idea)

That's why I used the older version of the mapping, I couldn't get the bpatcher to show up when I loaded the device in a fresh set. I even saved the abstraction in the same folder as the device and everything. I wasted like 2 hours fucking around with it. I'm not really sure why it won't stay in the...

Re: multi point envelope draw (idea)

You realize that you're talking about slave mode right? Since all the lil'midienv devices currently map one-to-one to paramters and you have a bunch of devices and parameters you can put them into slave mode on a shared channel and they all trigger from a single master envelope (also a lil'midienv ...

Re: multi point envelope draw (idea)

Multimap would work, but the envelope would affect all mapped devices simultaneously.
You could add some gating tied to a dial to allow the user to select which mapping is being manipulated.

Re: multi point envelope draw (idea)

@valiumdupeuple: I initially tried using the map button, but had trouble getting the bpatcher to properly lode the map button patch.

@filter_7: Multimap Mode? Would that entail saving different mappings within the device?

Note to all.
