Re: TouchAble 1.2 released -new Module: multi-dots XY PAD

Guys this is incredible, way to step it up!

The new X/Y interface with physics is just the kind of thing I bought my iPad for. Smashing!

Re: Trouble with Motu Ultralite and Live

If I'm reading that right, I think you need to open Cuemix and mute all your inputs. If the inputs aren't muted, you'll hear the inputs straight out of the main outs. With that done, when you arm your tracks in Ableton you should start hearing the channels correctly, ie through the AD, Ableton, and ...

Re: HOPING NEW APC40 IS NOT BROKE, HELP

I don't think so, Crossfaders are meant to be that way. A stiffer fader feels cludgy and makes it difficult to cut in audio at the right time, sure they lend themselves to slower transitions, but so does a steady hand. You'll get used to it, and I'm sure realize the benefits too :)

Re: PLEASE HELP....DJ MIX Too Long, Need to Shorten It in time

A wave file is a standard amount of MB per second. Therefore, a completely silent and a completely clipped wav of the same length will be the same size in MB. Hence why mp3 is around. I'm not sure about AIFF, but I'm thinking it's a similar situation with a different extension! That said though I'm ...

Re: Rewire & Latency

Use the latency flyout in each channel to manually correct it. You then won't need to do it per clip.

Re: APC-40 sold out in many stores (EU).. new version coming?

Well Akai did put out a questionnaire about a month or two ago with stuff like "do you like touchscreens?" "do you like seeing track names?" "motorized faders your bag?" haha...

It's like they twigged the reason I sold my APC for an iPad.

Hint: you need to reinstall LiveControl to the new Live application folder.

Pop on Pitch Envelope Break Points

Ok this one's been annoying me long enough to chime in and request some help. In complex pro, I find if I enter envelope mode in a sample, and start messing about with the pitch envelope I find I get pops and clicks. I've narrowed it down to creating a breakpoint on zero pitch - a click will always ...

Re: LiveControl: Automap for TouchOSC (ipod/ipad)

Hey, Quick report to say similar to the above- I find the LiveControl application on my Mac defaults to physical MIDI devices if they're started up before LiveControl. For example, if I have my Motu running before the application loads, it'll default to using the Motu's MIDI I/O over LiveControl's.....

Re: Metronome drifting while playing back?

Sure it isn't your drummer speeding up? :P I don't think it'd be to do with your track delay / driver error compensation - they act universally so you wouldn't find things going awry halfway through a set because of them. Are your tracks properly warped, all the way through? That's the only time I'v...

Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD

Hey, well done on the app so far! I have a few things to add that are hopefully useful from my first outing with it. 1) There's clip stop, global clip stop... transport stop..? That's really necessary I think. 2) The 3rd track's header is a little lower graphically than it's colleagues, a little mis...

Re: LiveControl: Automap for TouchOSC (ipod/ipad)

Just to say the new version's been bulletproof so far, much more reliable! Just got my Mac to run your app at logon, and whether I launch Live or TouchOsc first, it figures itself out. I like the two sliders for moving about the grid matrix too, cunning work. Oh and BTW, what do the little horizonta...

Re: LiveControl: Automap for TouchOSC (ipod/ipad)

Hey there, I've encountered an issue with 8.1.5. upon using LiveControl successfully once, when I opened Live the next time it hung indefinitely at the "Creating a new live set" section of it's startup. I trashed the preferences file, which has Live running, however now when I go to select LiveContr...
