Tape delay loop emulator with play and record heads control?

Just curious if there is a plugin that emulates old days tape loop devices? I'd like to be able to control the erase head to make repeats, instead of the feedback. BTW was very impressed with the last Plastikman album "Ex". He use modulated delays alot. Any hints about his possible approach are much...

Re: 32-64 plugin converter recomendation?

Thank you for reply. I'm thinkin about 64 bits only because of some heavy Kontakt piano libraries which I like to set to 'play from memory' mode, which requires 64 bits obviously. But I've got some other great synth plugins that are 32 bits only - that was my issue. Again, thank you very much.

32-64 plugin converter recomendation?

Hi, can you be so kind to give me an advice, which plugin converter can you recommend, some tips about which version of Live should I use 64 or 32 bits, etc. Is it a good idea to use it btw, latency issues?

Re: Is Max sample-accurate?

Can you be so kind to give a more broaden comment please? How Gen works in relation with Max? So is there a way to build some simple synth with some auto triggering abilities that behave sample accurate right in Ableton? How complicated it is?

Is Max sample-accurate?

Hi, I'm a long time Reaktor user, did not checked Max for a long time, but when I did it previously I was kind of dissapointed that its timing is not sample-level based, though I was told somewhere that it can be solved in some complicated way. What is the situation now? Reaktor treats audio manipul...

Snap to grid for the envelopes

Please add this feature for the envelopes in 'not draw' mode, same as for the notes. Live in current state seems to be perfect, the one and only thing I miss is this snap feature for the envelopes. Please add it, sure it is very easy to do.

Re: Music, sampling, copyright issues

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/mar08/articles/sampleclearance_0308.htm Interesting reading. But what about Dj'ing? What are you allowed to play in the club actually? Or during a tour? I mean that you don't say it is your song, where you use someone's sample, but it is just your Dj mix, or, better,...

Re: Music, sampling, copyright issues

I'm really interested to hear some specialist about it. I mean sure I can download a Michael Jackson song and tell my Mom it's me the producer and the singer of the song, but what is it legit to do say, in a club in a live electronic performance? Am I allowed to do anything I want playing the tracks...

Re: Music, sampling, copyright issues

Ok, where is the border, if I purchase a song on a Beatport or iTunes and play it in my Dj session, the whole song then it is OK, but, what is the difference? I can call it a song, a a remix, a Dj set or whatever... Any broader reply then "nope" are much welcome. Ok, I remembered I heard it not abou...

Music, sampling, copyright issues

Hi, Is there some laws, I heard something. Say, I want to cut a 1 second sound from a, say, Britney Spears song and use it in my song. Is it legit? As far as I could remember there is some rules that if it is less then some time limits - then it is not restricted. If anyone know and can point to som...

Re: Envelopes quantization

After almost 10 years still asking, please, snap to grid option for the envelopes, it is so easy! When the Grid settings is "Off" - then no snapping. Like for the notes or clips.
