Re: melodica multi sampled preset for sampler

Does anyone know why I might be getting the message "The Live Pack 'melodica boom sampler instrument project' contains a Project and cannot be installed in another project". I'm using Live 7 if that makes a difference. Thanks :D The download is an ALP (Ableton Live Project) - melodica-boom-sampler-...

Re: Final Mix Questions

Where to start?

Spectrum analyzer and EQ. Too much low end (sub) information in all of your individual tracks will eat up your headroom.

Re: FX Dry/Wet Problem?

I wonder if it could be some kind of controller information turning the fx section off. Some odd MIDI Control Data. My nocturn 49 seems to spew out a lot of information.

I should examine the MIDI File next time I have a similar problem.

FX Dry/Wet Problem?

I sent the follwing into ableton support recently. While I'm waiting for a reply, I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this: I recently reported an issue to Rob Papen about RP-VERB. I'd inserted RP-VERB on an insert and set the dry/wet setting to taste. After a while I noticed that onl...

Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?

I'd actually like to see Softube Designed 'Trident A-Range' Console Strips. Vertical stylee. Instead of just the basics like volume and pan.

I def' want a solo button, and volume slider (horizontal - under the Preview Tab Waveform/MIDI display) built for the 'Preview Tab' area.

Jesus Christ wrote:The rapture's come & gone. You might not have noticed much because we only had to beam up two people - both of whom worked for ableton support.
I think you mean ... both of whom were employed by Ableton support.

Re: Good pitch shifting plug

I think ZPlane elastique is in 99% of DAWs I've used (because it's brilliant).

Here is a Video of the VST Version.

Re: Missing the beginning of imported (mp3) files

I fail to see what significance this statement has: ''mp3 files of beats or spoken word at sensible levels that don't fade in'' If you grab any WAV or MP3 file and drop it into an Arrangement, it should arrive intact. The only obvious exception would be (as already stated) if you had Auto-Time-Warp ...

Re: Missing the beginning of imported (mp3) files

How are you 'loading' these files?
There might be another clue there.

Re: Missing the beginning of imported (mp3) files

Off hand, I'd be thinking: Drag the Start Marker (of the clip) all the way to the left hand side.
Now the entire file should play.

Re: Missing the beginning of imported (mp3) files

It could be that you have automatic warping enabled in your preferences. Probably set to 'beats'.
Have a look at the waveform of the file after loading. Do you see a bunch of warp markers on the clip?

Re: Bassline issues

You've done a great job. The Bass sounds fine on my Laptop.

If you're concerned about playback-ability I'd recommend you get a copy of ToneBoosters Isone.
