I was assuming he at least did a direct bounce with 6, then opened the set in 7 and bounced that with no changes.

Nogi?

Sounds the same to me ????? :?: The same set (created in L6) opened and immediately rendered with no dither and no HiQ mode FX: http://www.virb.com/live7vslive6 Listen in particular to the hi-hats, especially the ping-pong delays decay. Better definition. Also, the bass swells on beat 3 (after 0:19...

Trolling through the forum ruckus, it looks like there are some pretty cool changes in version 7. There are also some big gaps. Simply put, I would encourage Ableton from both a commercial and artistic perspective to put 100% of their future development energy and focus into refining Live's base fu...

That is so odd, never heard of that. You don't have like any background update checks enabled? Have you tried killing the wi fi on your laptop and seeing if it happens? Updated to the newest firmware for the motu? Thought about returning it for another one? As far as I can tell so far, no backgroun...

LIve 6x: MOTU Ultralite 2 Wierd issues

I have a MOTU Ultralite with two odd issues: 1: Audio glitch dropout Every Hour When I boot up either my desktop or laptop (both) there is a quick < 1 second dropout of the audio with a digital glitch sound as the MOTU is detected by WinXP Here is the strange part: - This dropout happens every hour ...

When I'm working with Live and reaching out for something that's not there (kinda like trying to scratch an itch in a missing limb), it's not Operator or some loop I'm looking for. It's corssfades (and fades), multiple take comping, track folders, time signature changes, proper solo-safe groups, ar...

I use an Isotope Ozone 3 with custom preset (multiband compressor, stereo widening), then Waves L3 for limiter / maximization. I use this as a "baseline" reference for how the mix is going to sound when finally mastered. So I flip this off and on as I work and this helps keep the mix in line as the ...

I also think this is a logical extension to the Live philosophy, totally makes sense and extremely usable.

I recall using the MIDI clip workarounds and it is way too much trouble, simply follow actions on scenes would be the best way imo

Lives originality would remain intact even if it did have some standard long used and well loved tools. Yes I basically do agree with you here. The keyboard shortcuts (CTL-E ..etc) have been more than good enough for many things -- However lack of user customized keymappings for everything has been...

Re: GIVE US A MUTE TOOL FOR CHRIST SAKE!!!!!!

THIS IS WHY I AND MANY OTHERS NEED A MUTE TOOL Double click on your clip in arrrangment and look on the Clip View, all the way to the left near the top. This is the On/Off button for the clip and functions as a Mute. You can select multiple clips on the grid and turn them all on and off at once .

Welcome all new members! Feel free to ask about anything, how long does it take to defrost a 16lb turkey? If you can fit that bitch in the microwave you can do it in about an hour!!!! My mum does a 16 lber in about 5 hrs. from frozen to done in a convection oven. Maybe that's the way to go. What pe...

+1 Ive seen this brought up a few times before, in the DJ/Performance wishlist etc Yes .. I think it makes the most sense to add the color and naming ability to markers that also function as assignable key / midi mappable cue points .. ie. Extend the Arrange View assignable marker concept to Clip V...

Re: MIDI Map improvement, "Change Focus" column

One of my favorite new features in live 6, is the instant mapping feature. Makes it so easy to use a limited number of controls to ummm... control many different devices. However, the major flaw with this scheme, is that you have to still use a mouse to actually select the device you want to contro...
