Re: pease vote

In my view, any controls should be re-assignable , as a general rule, always, for every app -- it's too great an advantage for users to do without. It helps left-handers, one-handers, no-handers, the blind, whomever ... as well as busy pros trying to get work done quickly and as painlessly as possi...

Re: pease vote

There's a lot I don't like about using that app, but having power over the keyboard layout, and having separate files that store the keyboard shortcuts, makes it the tool of choice in my humble collection when I need to put in long hours. This is the key I think, one of the very first things I do (...

At least you can bounce to audio with a 3rd party VST.

Small consolation but if you come up with something cool you might lose the patch, but dont have to lose the result

I have a problem with the fact that you act like you know everything about everything. I click on a link here during my day, pop in for 30 seconds and at times more when something catches my eye to express my opinion. Thats all this is to me .. honest Its a very simple thing for me. If my opinions ...

we should rather talk in terms of priorities.. we are not in the position to value the amount of coder hours of our feature wishes.. Yes, so we ask for what we need .. thats what this is for Its a narrow little topic area in life thats important enough for some of us to take a minute out of our day...

Well, i don't know, you make a lot of comments about the coding of the software. I believe you even suggested that the abes must re-write the whole thing from the ground up in your opinion. I'm just wondering if you have any credentials to back that up or if this is just another example of you know...

I have a degree in IT and was in the industry for about 10 years professionally No, Im not but I know enough to know that mapping some wid...

so you're a programmer? Do you think its hard? Somebody expressed the opinion that they dont want the guys to spend any time letting us map all the elements Do you really think its going to take them ages of time to map the freaking clip view widgets or the io view widgets? Or did you just come in ...

"let us map EVERY interface element in live, not just the ones Ableton thinks we need" . Sounds good, but I think it is way too much work for teh development team. . Why? Allowing mappable interface elements is a simple, mechanical programming task Its not rocket science - its not radically differe...

More user assignable zoom commands: - Zoom to clip, zoom to song length, zoom to loop region, zoom all tracks full vertical, zoom all tracks full horizontal. Absolutely, +1 Also: - ability to map to missing zoom keys in Clip View (length, end, etc) This goes along with "let us map EVERY interface e...

My vote:

- turn it off the UL

- unplug the power cable to the unit

- unplug firewire cable

THis is what firewire is designed to support, if you want to take the extra 2 - 3 minutes to turn the computer completely off, then reboot, your choice

Re: I vote for the OPTION too

. Where Cubase goes wrong is the different windows are not dockable. So they just float wherever and it can get to be a mess. Exactly. #1 reason why i stopped using it Maybe the way to control this is to be able to make your own custom screens but the parts can't freefloat, or staying with my origi...

Re: I vote for the OPTION too

Single interface with single monitor, especially when gigging, is great yes Also, single interface with totally reconfigurable / movable elements is even better for a custom live setup. Which this software is all about: customizing a live performance setup and creativity Again: who would not find t...

Re: I vote for the OPTION too

For anyone here that is saying no to it at all, please go try to use two monitors for like 10 minutes with Live. THEN see if you have a change in opinion about the option. Detachable / reconfigurable interface parts would probably vi for the #1 most useful and positive change for this software Espe...

+1. Bome's MIDI Translator is a bitch to get around with. The problem overall as I see it, is that using these external programs can introduce complications in actual use that are hard to describe without wordy posts But are obstacles to getting results. For instance: Using autohotkeys to remap key...
