Re: What do you think producers could use help with?

My two best friends and I noticed that there was a lot of frustration with the way musiicans were pitching themselves online (namely the whole “yo ima be hueg sign me plz approach”), Round these parts I usually tell everyone I'm a talentless hack. Not entirely false modesty, unfortunately. Maybe if...

Re: Doctor Who Synth

And people now complain they can't bounce at the touch of button... The original 1963 recording of the Doctor Who theme music is widely regarded as a significant and innovative piece of electronic music, recorded well before the availability of commercial synthesisers. Delia Derbyshire (assisted by ...

Re: Buying new toys in Germany

Cheers Tom. Think I found the monitors I want before leaving UK, so could just get online. But I'll probably check of Hamburg sometime in next few weeks, so maybe drop in the shop. Nothing at all in Bremen, but that's not surprising. On another note, there's about 2000 people drinking beer in the su...

Buying new toys in Germany

Guten abend. Ich bin in Deutschland! Starting a new life over here, and GAS has set in already. Part of my deal was one month's extra salary to cover the costs of moving everything. Instead, I came with two bags and I'm going to blow it all on new shit. So looking for a reputable source of tech stuf...

Singles who go to swingers parties? Doesn't sound all that bad, but it's probably frowned upon.

That sounds a lot like this one-

It's probably safe to say we all have a bit of it. Hard to be entirely impartial. The more we argue, the more entrenched our positions become.

Of course, that doesn't make El Jizzle any less wrong.

Re: New to live pls help

That's not a bad first question. Better than the usual "why live make no sound?" I assume you mean track as in like a song, not the bass track, guitar track, etc. Usual would be a project for each track. So you get flexibility of each one being set up differently- instruments, routing, etc. It will ...

Re: To Ableton representatives: please, share Ableton roadmap

What we really need is some kind of an official public feature request tracker, with formal voting/petition features. It should be moderated by an ableton employee who would handle merging duplicates (and merging votes) on features requests. This really needs to be a more formal process to make us ...

Re: Bitcoin

I don’t get it literally or figuratively. Seems like a bunch of arseholes trying to be clever with the monetary system and the only time it makes the news outside their arsehole dom is when some banker games the system or wipes out a ton of fake money. And that seems to happen quite frequently. Am ...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

I'm not so worried about feature lists, but how it all fits together. Is it intuitive and inspiring (sorry if that sounds a bit wanky). Being able to see what's happening on other clips without constantly doing screen grabs would be good though. Question for any beta testers- I know Bitwig can open ...

Wouldn't Prometheus be around the time right in the middle when it had become a standard but not quite played out yet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLDSE7RHvno Ah, the bass drop is at 1:10 in the trailer. "It wasn't an earthquake, it wasn't a typhoon..." Nope, it was just a giant mutant dinosaur...
