... Reason becomes very interesting again instead of just being an esoteric and fun curiosity thats out of tune with the real world. Well, you say that, but while people like Black Eyed Peas / etc are using it onstage, I guess it definitely does have a tuneful part to play in the real world still :...

looks good to me. the fact that they added the regroove mixer shows that they are listening. Yes - just a shame that by the time they get around implementing and releasing - the world has moved on - alot. although why they still bother with the sequencer is strange. do people actually use the seque...

I guess one of my p[roblems with analog synths like the code - once you go past a certain price, then multi-voice modulars with expensive digital poly control modules start to become attractive - and give you a hell of alot more room for sound shaping to your own taste. There is just nothing like th...

Macro control response curves in racks

Let say you have an ableton effect rack, chain 1 has a bunch of effects in it, chain 2 might be empty or have another bunch of effect in it. If you map say macro 1 to -Inf to 0dB on chain 1, and 0dB to -Inf on chain 2 to do a wet/dry type function or a crossfade then at about the mid point, you find...

There's other options you know, like Wave Editor, or even *gasp* Wavelab running on Parallels if you're serious about mastering. I'd rather Ableton focus on Live personally, and NOT create a mastering app. +1 Leave ableton to focus on continuing to make Live an excellent creation and perfromance/re...

What do you think of the Radias? I would have thought more people would be into them, but you really don't see that many. How does it stand up to high-end gear like the TI, V-Synth, and Machinedrum? As a primary synth it has that Korg sound that only korg fan boys could love :) But as a secondary s...

Machie are certainly good, but I dont think they hold the crown in the price range anymore. Also while going for larger monitors may make sense from a broader frequency reproduction perspective, you may find your mixing environment just aint up having them there and smaller 6"/5" units may actually ...
