heaps too expensive and only 1 colour led means i'll be sticking with launchpad (preordered )

One thing that would have made me kick myself for jumping on launchpad to soon would be velocity sensitive buttons!

After owning the Pad Kontrol for a year and a half, I started using the XY controller alot more. I made my on control script for the PK, so the XY and knobs control the macros. I can get a 15inch laptop from dell with an i7 in it for about AU$2500, Apple will charge AS$2699 for a core2duo... much more bang for your buck with the dell. It's really best to try them all out. I've had the padKontrol, the trigger finger tried out a friend's MPD32 and now I use Maschine for pads. Ok I just speculated it after visitng Cycling '74s website. It's going to be around 250 US dollars(If not, then 300 maximum :lol: ). I said this because the Max/MSP 5 is 495 dollars but it's open and not limited only to Ableton Live. So it should be lower than a regular one since it's purpose is on...

No love? This would really help my work flow and is one of the first things I am going to look in to with m4l.

However, if such flexibility was built in I think everyone would benifit.

I'm saving full price of Max/MSP for it - if it's less I'ma spill the rest on some guitar pedals from ebay

Thanks for the feedback guys - was leaning towards the padkontrol too.
Might go try one out tomorrow. Unfortunatly can't try a MPD18 anywhere around here.

1) make macros available as a 'midi effect' unit, to be used outside of instrument and drum racks 2) (maybe via m4l) make the macro interface customisable, sporting a combination knobs sliders and x/y's that work best for each individual's set up 3) please make macro's be able to send midi messages ...

Not that i'm broke mate - just don't need any bells or whistles (read knobs or sliders).
