Drum machines to work with Push

Hi all, I have a Korg ER1 (mk2) drum machine and I really enjoy messing about with it using Live and push. With all the knobs and limited sounds I just seem to have more fun and get more funky beats than if I spend ages noodling with a billion samples and loads of options on each sample in drum rack...

Re: Ten Steps To Becoming A Synth Dynamo

Seeing this reminded me to download the VST version, very cool!

Tips and tricks were good, hows the Ipad version coming along? I think having that will make primer a very good one synth to start with as you can use it anywhere.

Good drumsynth(s) to use with push?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had made themselves drumpad kits using drumsynths to turn Push into something like a hardware drum machine? I'd like to get it to the point where I have a standard kit, but quite a bit of flexibility to edit the sounds using the macro knobs. I saw someone managed so...

Re: Drum Rack with Microtonic, Designed for Push

This is completely amazing. I might well actually have to buy microtonic now, for anyone else who doesn't have it they do a very decent 3 week demo, I can see myself becoming attached by the time next payday comes around.

Re: A night with push

Using push I do still need the computer, but I'm making techno/tech house music that is very programming-intensive. I'm not sure I could ever get to a point that I didn't need the computer any less than I have with push. If you were playing instruments/vocals etc I think you'd need the computer a lo...

Re: Techno Track -> Dust

Had me a listen, checked out some of your other tracks to. You got the synth work down, cool automations through the tracks, do you do that live on the hardware and record it in or edit it in live with a mouse? I find it so hard to put synths in my tracks and make them sit how I like in the mix and ...

I like this, deep, bassy, classy.

Any chance of some insight into how it was produced, tools used etc?

Liking it on soundcloud :D

Re: Push - 4 days in

I posted this on your blog, but I thought I'd stick it here for the benefit of any other forum people: How do you organise your samples/drum kits and drum tracks? I've been playing with having a different channel and rack for each type of sound, so a snare rack and channel, kick, hats etc. Then I've...

Drum rack workflow/organisation for techno?

Just wondering how people work with drum racks to produce dance music? In the past I've used Guru, and routed the first 4 pads out to a 'kicks' channel, next 4 to snare/clap channel and so on. When its bounced to audio it makes it easy to see whats happening in the arrangement view, but with drum ra...

Re: A night with push

REALLY?! 8O Maybe I'm not doing it right - but how do you browse your own samples? Add track Drum rack ->green add button Browse Select the 'empty pad' with the button beneath the LCD Browse Shift arrow to the bottom 'places' Navigate to 'samples' (a folder I added in places with all my own sounds)...

A night with push

Got mine today, played with it for a few hours tonight and thought I'd stick my feedback up in case anyone was interested. I was torn between getting Push or maschine for making techno/tech house with, went for push.. thoughts so far-> 1) Its inspirational! The note/scale grid is fantastic for inspi...
