Re: Could someone measure their Micron (!) keyboard for me?

I used to have a micron but sold it after 3 months of owning it. Programming was a pain and those keys are only velocity sensitive. If you are thinking of using the keys to control drums and such in live get a decent Yamaha, studio logic , or novation keys. What's your reason for getting a micron? ...

Re: Could someone measure their Micron (!) keyboard for me?

"Dude, who even has one of these?" - I do. "I can't be bothered to go to the local music shop to measure one" - then stay off this thread. "because the other users of this forum rarely post helpful responses to this type of query." - Not true. I've had decent people answer my threads in the past. Ju...

Re: Could someone measure their Micron (!) keyboard for me?

One week on the Ableton forums and you're already spreading venom. Lovely stuff. And don't call me love.
For the record .... some people DO own Alesis Microns. Sorry if that falls below your hipster criteria. Love.

... I need to know the dimensions of the keyboard across and up (see photo below) ... this would be much appreciated, thanks! :) Dude, who even has one of these? If they're full-sized keys, they'll be 20.5" by 5". Otherwise, I can't help you. I can't be bothered to go to the local music shop to mea...

How do you sync your V-drumpads (Roland PD, etc) to Ableton?

What's the best way to sync drumpads (Roland PD7/8's, specifically) to Ableton? I have a few drum pads - Roland PD's and a couple of vintage Soviet hexagon monsters from ebay - what's the best way for me to connect these to Ableton Live on my Macbook? I use a Motu Ultralite firewire interface which ...

How do I get BFD Eco to record in midi notes to Live?

Have a question about BFD's rather nice Eco drumset. I've never used this kind of drumset before within Live, and am used to drawing in my midi notes for my drum patterns. How can I get Eco to 'record' into midi notes the drums it plays, so that I can then move those midi notes around to my own choo...

Re: A firewire soundcard for live use with many in/outputs ?

Also - if I use a TC Helicon Voicelive Play for my fx, am I ok to run my chain as : MIC - TC HELICON - MOTU - DI - FOH ? (The Motu has the preamp for vocals, and I'm always confused about those things, sorry!) the VoiceLive Play has its own mic preamp. Ah, cool... are they good enough preamps for a...

Re: A firewire soundcard for live use with many in/outputs ?

MOTU Ultralite is a fabulous option. If you need more than two mic pres, consider a MOTU Traveler. I second the MOTU Ultralite. Great interface, very flexible with multiple ins/outs, compact form factor is nice for portability, solid construction. I have heard of people having the occasional issue ...

A firewire soundcard for live use with many in/outputs ?

So, I'm looking for advice on a decent firewire soundcard interface for live use. I currently have the M-Audio Profire 410, which is great and everything, but has been a bit flaky in a live situation. Ideally my replacement needs to have : firewire at least 4 inputs at least 8 outputs Vocal preamps,...

249 Euros for three new effects, some more sounds and a hand full enhancements... Oh..., I forgot M4L !!! How could I ?!?!?!? ...but someone already wrote he'd pay anything for Bezier-Curves... But it's three effects we don't already have. Three effects that will change our lives. I would ima...

More bitchin' about Live 9 ....

So I already have Live 8 Suite. Which is nice.
But to upgrade to Live 9 Suite will cost me 249 euros? What the ....?? Or, if I want to save money, I can upgrade from 8 SUITE to 9 STANDARD (losing all my lovely 8 Suite goodies) for 129 euros...?

Or am I missing something here?

Re: Tips/hints for running vocals thru Live at a gig ....?

I've was doing this with a live band earlier this year. First, make sure you have a fader mapped to the mic channel so you can turn it down quickly if it starts feeding back ;) We didn't run the mic through anything too complex, only ableton fx to keep latency low. I mapped knobs on my controller t...
