follow action weirdness

I have a column of 12 clips in 12 scenes, set to follow one another at specified times. Everything was going well (and usually does, I've been using follow actions for a number of years) until I upgraded to 8.1.4 today. That might be a coincidence, but its the only thing I can see as different. Anyh...

new album created with Ableton live....streaming on Bandcamp

I have a new album out that I recorded, mixed and produced 100% in Ableton Live.

(all except the mastering, done in ProTools by my friend Count)

Its called "Into the Trees" and it debuted last week at #7 on the Billboard classical charts.

Now streaming on Bandcamp:

Re: NO crashes in 8.1.3 (whoop!)

i still experience the pops on fades in the arrangement view. still waiting on that one. but not crashing is a huge improvement ;-) re: my specs....i upgraded from 8.1.1 and the rest of the stuff i use is in my sig. i don't use Max for Live, or samplers or any of the instruments, or much in the way ...

Re: New Macbook Pro's: Solid State or 7200 RPM Hard Drive?

i'd go with solid state if you can afford it...for silence reasons.
the spinning of my regular drive is the loudest thing about my MBP.

NO crashes in 8.1.3 (whoop!)

Very happy to report that after 2 weeks of using 8.1.3 I have not experienced a single crash.

YAY!

Very happy.

Thank you for all the fixes.

still there: the explosion before a clip fade problem

Sorry to report that I'm still experiencing this in 8.1.3 http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=134080 "- crazy explosive bursts of noise on the edges of fades in the arrangement view. Bursts are way louder than the material in the clips and are quite violent in character. They go away if I a...

Re: Load session via MIDI?

I use midi-triggered applescripts in an application called MidiPipe Each midi button will open a specific set Also, I have a midi button mapped to a script that saves the currently open file. That way I'm not stuck with a save dialog box in between every song. It feels kludgy but it works. here's th...

Re: favourite new 8.1.3 feature is 'report a bug'

Yes, I've submitted both a couple times, and my list of problems explains the difference. The session view pop occurs when I'm coming out of MIDI triggered slot recording (ie midi clip sends notes via iac driver to control actions in live). When the record closes, there is a pop. That is why in vers...

Re: favourite new 8.1.3 feature is 'report a bug'

I too like the "report a bug" feature! That's a good idea. Dennis, I reported this, but might as well ask for speed sake... Using 8.1.3 today I'm still getting "pops" when I come out of slot recording. Do you have any suggestions how to work around this? Is there a particular configuration that I sh...

Re: 8.1.3???

thanks for the help sleuthing this Dennis. I would love to know what causes the pops on record and if its anything I can control. It seems to happen in every set just since I upgraded to 8.1.1. I'm stumped. When I record onstage into Live while in 8.1.1 I also get a pop when the record punches out i...

Re: 8.1.3???

Hey Dennis,

Sorry to say that I just made the pops on the bar line happen in the 8.1.3 RC2

Report submitted

edit: and for one of the other things I've been reporting: pops between 2 touching clips that have independent fades
